What's the one game you just can't stop playing?

I used to be a big gamer, but since my daughter's been born I just haven't had time to play games like I used to. But I still find time to play this one browser-based MMO game called Fallen Sword. It's really something you only play once or twice a day, which fits perfectly into my busy schedule! I used to try Facebook games, but I find them to be terrible boring after a while and my internet connection isn't that good so it just can't support most of the games. So what game is it that you just can't stop playing even if you should? Your favorite game of the month/week/day?

It really wasn't too difficult to find one of the threads that belong to your daughter, @purplealabaster ! I simply chose this one at random. Had I been determined to find one where you and she were doing terrible things to @topffer , I don't think that would have been much more difficult, do you? Hello, @Phyrre , I am one of your mother's friends. I was given something of a challenge to find you... in a round about way. Apparently, I am still so inept at working around on this site that nobody thinks I CAN manage to find my way when I need to. Thank you for providing some entertainment for a few minutes, my dear! It really is my pleasure to meet you!

LOL - you found one of her discussions, which was not difficult. I would expect you to be able to find that as you are perfectly adept for that sort of thing. What would be a heck of a lot more difficult and more impressive is finding a discussion on which we were both interacting, especially if Top was there. That is what I was doubting your ability to do. I will give you a clue, the three of us got punished by Owl and had to wear the Bizarre [random number] moniker for a day.

Lol, you found a discussion, but you did not responded to the discussion. It is a good choice and I don't remember to have read this one.

I have a few card games sitting on my desk top. I pick any one of them waiting for pages to open, mostly 'Hearts'

I used to love to play Hearts! Haven't played it in a while, unfortunately, but that and Spider Solitaire were my quick go-tos when I wanted something fun and quick. :)

For online games I can go playing DOTA and Heroes of Newerth everyday, not necessarily whole day though, because I've got more important things to do. My all-time favorite however is Suikoden, a playstation console game (PS1,PS2, and PSP) that has great storyline and more. I'd love to explain more about it but I would rather just suggest you try it to see for yourself.

DOTA stands for Defense Of The Ancients. It's actually just a famous map created by icefrog under Warcraft3. This is where Heroes of Newerth based its game. They are very much alike in almost every way. Heroes of Newerth used to be free during beta version, then the retail version came out, and now it's free in our country via GG client.

I have always installed a game of lines in any PDA and phone that I have had since the end of the 1990's. I cannot tell the number of hours I spent waiting in railway stations and doctor's offices playing at this game in the 15 past years. 4 or 5 years ago, I have added a game of sudoku, but it is often too intellectual for me.

You have to try Mahjong. It is extremely addicting. Phyrre was getting angry with me when she was visiting my house, because I kept borrowing her tablet to play Mahjong. She said that I was worse than the grandchild and her little sister combined!

@topffer What is a "lines game"? Is it like Tetris?

@purplealabaster I can be worse than you with these kind of games. I have had a mahjong game on a Palm long ago, but I did not found a good one when I switched to a Windows phone. I will look for one for Android, it will change me a bit from my lines game.

That was a good movie, but I'm always a bit hesitant about buying games from movies because I'm always worried it'll be a let down since a lot of the ones I've played have been. But I'll definitely give this one a look. I love playing my PS2 still. Even though the Xbox is great, nothing can replace the PS2 for me.

Oh, I actually had no idea. I thought the games were from the movie, but I never really took a look at them either. That's interesting.

Free games certainly are the best, aren't they? I love a lot of download games, but my computer doesn't. My internet doesn't handle them very well, unfortunately. Sounds like an interesting game, though. What's it about and what type of game is it?

Sounds like a game more for my husband than me. I'm not very good at first person shooters lol. Last time I played one it was the newest Halo and I managed to drop a plane on myself.

Solitaire, an old game that was around way before computers but finally became a big hit when it came out as an included game on every Microsoft PC. I can remember playing it as a child on the computer and I'd play for hours. Now that I moved to be a mac user in the past few years I've missed having the game on my desktop. I recently downloaded a version specified for MAC and now I've been just as addicted to it as I was in the past.

Oh, I love that you mentioned solitaire. I played it both before computers and on the computer. It was actually one of the first games I started playing on the computer because my grandfather got the first modern computer we ever had and I would "help" him play it (though I'm not sure I was really much of a help lol!).

I just can't stop playing NBA 2k11 and Final Fantasy 12 both on Playstation 2. These games are really created to waste your time if you have time to kill. The adventure that Final Fantasy packs is just breath-taking.

Oh, I love all three of those activities. Unfortunately, there's not really many good places to go biking here so I do a lot of swimming really and walking.

I used to be a Plants vs. Zombies addict, but since I need to play it on its own, without any other program running alongside it, I haven't played in a while because the apps I use for work take precedence over games. I also played Chocolatier and The Great Chocolate Chase. I also enjoyed 4 Elements, Diner Dash, and Daily Life on y8.com. Nowadays, I'm enjoying NinjaKiwi's Bloons (Tower Defense) series. I play it both on MochiGames and the NinjaKiwi websites. I've finished Bloons Tower Defense 1 and Bloons Tower Defense 2. I'm currently finishing the non-paid/non-premium tracks for Bloons Tower Defense 3 and 4. By far, I prefer 3 because you don't need to spend on the upgrades. With Tower Defense 4, you need to buy the upgrades with real money. Oh well!

When I was a child I love all the games, from the Commodore 64, DOS based and the more modern ones from Windows. I still like them very much and can spend/waste hours and whole days with them, if I even had enough time. Right now my now favorite game is "King Bounty: The Legend", a RPG based on an old game and precursor of the Heroes of Might and Magic series. I was playing it just before comming to MyLot today, but it crashed with a blue screen and I decided to stop playing it for today. . If I want to do a quick random game I go to www.juegosjuegos.com and chose a small, Flash-based game to spare a few minutes. Some are fun, but not good for more than a few plays. Web games are still much poorer than desktop games.

Right now my game of choice is Crossfire by Z8Games. It's free and has my attention. I just don't like how everyone cries in the game like in the Call of Duty Series.
