Have you ever been on mylot and had a discussion or comment and people comment on that and all they want to do is make you look bad or give you attitude? I don't know if it is just me because I get this sometimes and its really sad that people have to do that. Especially when we are all here to have fun and make money.

Like offline life there are different people and how they treat others. Yes I have seen this occur and the best option is to ignore. We cannot please everyone and in order to continue to enjoy our time here it is best to skip and or ignore such comments. I am sure you will find way more others much more enjoyable. I will not allow anyone to change my character so ignoring for me usually works well. I hope you do not see too many of that but do try and ignore and you will see that many more are much more fun.

I have met a few but the best way is to ignore their responses or comments if they upset you. myLot is such a wonderful place where we have total control over our emotions in that we need not interact with any one who makes us uncomfortable and that does not mean those who make us uncomfortable are in any way less useful to myLot. It is just that there is no compatibility.

I visited your page and saw one of your discussions there which needed the kind of attitude that you are talking about! I am sure you will agree with me. It is better that you put your right foot forward so that these sort of situations do not recur.

Hello Matt, I have been here on MYLOT since 2 months ago but it seem to be a nice site and i have not experienced an attitude problem with any of the MYLOTTER.May be i have not encountered anyone till now.But surely people do have attitude problem the best way i have learnt from other MYLOTTERS is to be polite with all & if you find any such MYLOTTER run away politely from there saying GOOD BYE.

That kind of thig happens on most forum sites on the internet. People say these things to wind you up and to get a response. Best thing is to ignore them or report them to the admin. Most sites frown on this kind of behaviour.

I've definitely had this to some extent. I think the worst is when you ask for advice on something and they completely ignore your question and just judge the situation. For example, I created a discussion last week about my other half and I being broke students, and whether we should have a longer engagement and a more expensive wedding, or a shorter engagement and a budget wedding. I would say at least a third of the responses I got totally ignored the question and essentially said "you're far too young to get married". Erm, excuse me, that wasn't the question, talk about an irrelevant answer! It made me really upset, because I was looking for genuine advice, not for people to decide that my relationship wasn't good enough to move on to being engaged. Try not to worry about it, it definitely isn't just you, and the problem is with the people who feel the need to give attitude not with you. But yes, I agree, it does make me sad that people have to do that. You sort of think, why join a discussion site if you aren't going to join in the discussion, you're just going to give abuse? Interesting discussion Matt, thanks for this! Makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Personally even the amount of time that I have been a member here, this continues to bother me as well. Why there are people here who are always negative towards someone and want to always act like they are better or know more, is beyond me. We are supposed to be here just to have Fun and help others. When you are acting negative towards one another that often runs someone off, and will usually end up affecting your ratings and earnings as well as friendships here. So why people continue to want to do this is really beyond me.

People have individual opinions and it differes from one person to another. Hence, others may give comments which they think are nice to them, but perceived as otherwise by others. Whenever you receive a nasty comment, just don't mind it. It is just one compared to many others' good comments.
