Dreams

I used to write up the dreams I have had into a diary. They were often quite vived and about various things - often disturbing. I have dreamt about driving my mums car illegally when I was younger for example and being naked at school. Im sure Dr Sigmund Freud would have plenty of things to say about these.

I used to do this too, then I started sleeping too infrequently to keep up the habit and I eventually forgot to keep my diary updated. It is interesting to see the things I used to dream about though, and sometimes I find myself reading over my diary and trying to figure out what they could have meant. Though I know enough that dream meaning is never obvious. It might seem like it, but the real meaning is always something entirely different.

lol, well I think Freud was a nutcase, and it turns out most of the modern psychology world have scrapped the majority of his theories on dreams. I've kept a dream journal since I was twelve. I've never really had a "naked in public" dream, but I did have quite a few dreams where I was illegally driving somebody's car. Most of my dreams have had intricate plots that resemble the high fantasy novels I read, or just something boring from life. I love dream journaling! It's so much fun.

I think it is a good thing that you keep a dream diary and as I said I don't do this anymore. I tend to have quite vivid dreams just bef0oe I wake up and then I forget them when I do. I also talk in my sleep at times and this disturbs both myself and by boyfriend. I wake myself up wnen I do it and can hear what im mutrering. My boyfriend said that I held a conversation with him while doing it, which is something that I don't always do when Im awake lol.

That's interesting... I talked in my sleep a little bit when I was younger but not anymore. Do you ever worry you're going to say something you'd regret if you were awake? Or do you just spout a bunch of nonsense in your sleep? I had a friend who just spoke nonsense.

I was once told by my x-boyfriend that I sat bolt upright in my sleep and said 'cheese, we need some cheese.'This must have been in the need to our monthy shopping. My current boyfriend tends to talk in his sleep about things that are worring to him about his job. I can also remember he said 'it must be, Cath says so.' I found this rather cute as long as he wasn't concerned about it. I don't tent to regret things I say in my sleep which is god but I do sometimes have some unwanted dreams which involves some regret as they seem inappropriate.

Dreams can be very fascinating of course, the real dreams you have when asleep, and also day-dreamings. Quite often, things one was thinking about just before going to sleep would show up again in the dreams while asleep. Some can be funny, some can be very scary !!
