Don't stall like you're waiting to hunt some, go your way already! Hello Lotters, I don't mind little ones running around the washroom but the "not so" big ones they freak me out. just so one tonight, last time I hit one but took more than 200 pellet bullets because I was a lousy shooter. Big spiders said not to be poisonous, but the one and half an inch and a house spiders In our house are. I got it once but it moved too fast i couldn't hit it right. Sorry, but I can't tolerate Spiders, they freak me out. this isn't like spiders that childrens played with and put it inside the match box, probably a bit bigger. Just wished I bought Baygon when I had a chance!

Oo spiders are not a great and welcome guest in my house. We need to find a way to build a net to trap the spiders and have some super cool and small plant that can eat them up and leave no mess.

Hello TeamCholent, Unfortunately, things are not the way use we to be doing in terms of handling spiders. we do have a garden out side the house and a huge mango tree but unfortunately, they go around where things are a bit dirty here and there. well, I'd do my best to ignore it. Have a nice day.

Hello Bhaby catch, I don't want to kill them but I am sorry for them because they creep me out and shouldn't hang out where humans walked and linger. they got a lot of spaces inside the ceiling. Yeah, I should have put my cat inside but you know they aren't allowed to go in. Have a Nice day to you my friend.

i don't think there are poisonous spiders in the city. although they can sting us when we get bitten by some small spiders. i had one painful experience with strange looking spider a very small one with color green on the skin. very small i didn't think it will bite me. but it was painful when indeed.

Yes, better be careful with spiders. Because we never know which spider is poisonous, so the best way don't let it sting us.

Hello Hotsummer, Well, you gotta watch for those and make sure you got sprays to kill them if they ever get close to you or something. How did go? how many days before you even got cured from this spider sting. never under estimate them because you never know what they're thinking. have a nice day.

especially those spiders who carry their nest looked like a flat cotton balls, inside of it are full of baby spiders that escape and capable of running fast too....

Since from young i don't like spiders, especially the big ones. Although the spiders in my areas mostly are not poisonous, but i just really not excited to meet any of them. Now, i don't really like spiders too, although i had grown-up because they makes my home messy and dirty. They always built their web everywhere especially on the ceiling or wall areas of my home. Whenever i sees any of them, i will chase them away with a broom. Or even spray aerosol to them, to make them faint and throw them away.

Sometimes, we don't have much time to go further place to grab the spray. Because they will tends to escape and hide themselves. So, i tends to grab the nearest possible thing especially the broom, to chase the spider out from my home...But, i must agreed using spray is the most easiest way to do.

Big Spider - I came across this beauty right next to my hand on this piece of bamboo that I had just cut down!
I think that it is cruel to kill spiders just because you are scared of them. What we must remember is that we are much more deadly to spiders than they are to us. We hold the power to end their life which gives them a legitimate reason to be scared of us. We should not be scared of them. Same goes for snakes. There are lots of poisonous spiders and venomous snakes here in Australia, but that does not mean we should kill them. Check out photo below of the spider that I found yesterday. It was almost as big as my hand. Not the biggest one I have seen but close to it!

Of course we humans are much more deadly to spiders than they are to us. How many humans get killed by spiders daily? Not many! But how many spiders die at the hands of humans on a daily basis. Millions probably! We are the deadliest animals on earth. We have killed more animals than any other animal ever has!

Hello RawBill, It's just hard to believe those Spiders in Australia are Huge hunkers! if we are much more deadlier then how some of them can make the flesh of a human being rotten with so many poison infecting after just getting one bite. are you kidding me? that's nor even big yet?! those spiders are HUGE! i don't know what they have been eating to get that big buddy. don't worry I'll just ignore them next time, unless they are too close to jump. have a nice day.

Hello hardworkinggurl, Who wouldn't be afraid of them, If you are not expert on spiders, you never knew whether some of them are huge or not. even looking at those looks small can be more threatening. who wouldn't be afraid of the person getting bite like that though. broom won't work though, you gotta spray or it might climb into your hands through body. have a nice day.

Yes I get quizzy and start to run the opposite direction. I will have to remember the broom next time.

Hey! I hate spiders too! In my opinion it is one of the scariest animals in the world. I don't care about the little spiders who running around the house, but the big ones are really scarry! I saw once in a trip a spider which was bigger than my hand and it was really really scary! Any way, I hope I won't have to see a spider that big anymore but you can never know when you will see them. Have a great day without spiders and other bugs :)

Hello Shay3434, It's rare that I see spiders on my place. the last few ones were a lot bigger than the one I killed last night. but this one probably wasn't big enough but was scary as it is. for now, i have gotten rid of it, I know most of them are in the stock room or inside the ceiling for petes sakes, not where i can see them. have anice day.

Hi Letran, here where I live I rarely see a poisonous spider and the biggest I have seen is the wolf spider that I have only seen maybe 2-3 in the 25 years I lived here. The biggest problem we have inside are daddy long legs and some smaller spiders I have no idea what they are.. I also hate spiders, and found that by using a cleaner, )That is everything from furniture polish, window cleaner, to disinfectant, I either buy one that smells like citrus or I add essential citrus oil to the cleaner and this has cut down on how many spiders I see.. Maybe these poisonous ones don't like citrus either. You could give it a try....

Ants, if I remember correctly, are repelled by mint...And yes, cleaning will disrupt most insects to the point of leaving..

Hello carmel, Thank you for the advice, I don't know why they walked around. as of this moment I don't want to see one of them. Well, If it's cleaning that needed done that's gonna take a lot of work as a lot hasn't been cleaned yet. for now, were taking the clean up from one furniture to the other. it may be unattractive to spiders but it can be attracted to a lot of ants.

I don't mind the daddy long legs ones but beyond that ICK! I have quite a few in my basement. I don't know what they are called but they build this lil cave next to their web to hide in and no bigger than a nickel. But still plenty big enough. My girls have also been bitten possibly by a spider a few times as well because it would look like a pimple but a big red ring around it til you got the ick out of it which was brought on by an antibiotic from the Dr to clear it up. No fun at all! So when I can I take my shoe off and kill the ones I described, as I don't know if those were the culprit or not but more than a couple is enough to make my skin crawl.

Hello snugglebunnies, I know they're purpose is to prey on bugs to keep them from spreading but come one shouldn't they have their own place to go instead of going to place which can actually get bite us. they should know their place and shouldn't any further than the basement. for now, am a bit more afraid from going to the basement since it's filled with spider webs. have a nice day.

If not for the spiders, your house would be overrun with bugs. You should be grateful for them! When I lived in Florida, a very tropical climate teeming with bugs, I welcomed spiders into my house and was nearly bug-free. I don't need them where I am now so if I find any, I catch them in a glass and put them outside. Spiders are our friends!

Hello dragon4u, Yes, I know, it's not that I killed their entire batch, I just happen to have taken one or two in a span of several months. I do understand their purpose. actually I love spiders in our back yard for killing and trapping a lot of mosquitos that bugs around our place where we manually do the laundry. have a nice day.

I can't stand spiders and I don't care what size they are! I don't have a phobia, though, this fear is REAL! I was bitten by a poisonous spider when I was 19. Not only that, I was allergic to it! I developed blood poisoning and my temperature went up to almost 105 (when 98.6 is normal). When the red streak was halway up my arm (I was bitten on the wrist) I went to the hospital where they gave me a tetanus shot. I was allergic to THAT!!! I almost passed out right outside the hospital and my fever kept going up. I couldn't even stand up after a little while, my joints were so stiff and hurting. So, back to the hospital I went (was carried). They called in a specialist, gave me an injection of something (can't remember what it was) and I finally started to get better. It took an entire week before I was back to normal, though. So, my fear of spiders is very real. I'll kill any spider that comes my way unless it's really big. Then, I get someone else to kill it for me.

Hello Mentalward, I can understand you're hate and scare the spiders, not only you have been bitten but also been hospitalized because you were also allergic to a lot of medications given together.I guess you should always bring your spray insecticide and some fly swatting devices if you don't want them to get close to you. have a nice day.

Awwww I am not fond of any insect for one Letran! They just make my skin crawl.. i hate creepy crawling insects. But i can honestly tolerate spiders.. especially if i have baygon on hand and i am always equipped with that..having children and there should be no bugs around! What i cannot tolerate are worms!! i just hate their kind..worms to maggots to snakes! Eiw!! The thought of them even make me cringe!
• Philippines
19 Jul 11
Hello Jazel, Ha-ha-ha, that means you still hate spiders but you can tolerate them with the baygon because you know you can get rid of them. But you have a strong point of getting rid of them because you have children and they cannot get close to the spiders most specially those whom we believe to be poisonous. well, worms can be spread out with water, snakes are even more danger. have a nice day

Luckily there aren't poisonous spiders where I live, but I still dislike them, and when I see a big one I am filled with disgust.Of all the creatures on Earth, spiders are the ones I hate the most.I can only imagine what it's like to live in a tropical country and see a huge spider in your house;it would be like a nightmare turned into reality!

Hello Polaris, You're lucky and it's good to know that you're not much experiencing too many spiders there. sometimes I ignore them because they can take down mosquitos. I hate those spiders too but how can we continue fight against the bugs like mosquitos though. Have a Nice day.

I also hate big spiders even knowing that the most dangerous spiders are not them, but the little ones. I always run when I saw one big spider, I never had the courage to kill one and I think that, probably, I never will.
• Philippines
19 Jul 11
Hello moneywinner, Just avoid them, i don't think they are mutated for some reason. most little ones here aren't really that dangerous unless you mess with them though.

I don't really mind the small spiders. The small ones, I can deal with. It's really the big spiders that I really don't like. I really, really hate the big spiders. I'm not entirely sure why I don't like the big spiders. All I know is that I don't like the big spiders.

Hello Dodo, It's indeed a big deal because there's a lot of bad implications being bitten by a giant spider. It's understandable if you don't like big spiders, unless they are harmless. most of them can harm you. have a nice day.

I don't hate them as they are quite small and harmless but on animal planet i have seen big spiders , they really creep me out. I don't like spider webs so whenever i see one i clean it up myself.I can understand your hate for them as i hate cockroaches just like you do spiders.
• Philippines
18 Jul 11
Hello Akangirl, Some of these spiders are located in the forest, that's probably why they are huge and very much dangerous than the ones in the house. at least i can take down cockroaches despite of their numbers, what I really hate taking out are the spiders. I don't know why I hate them though. Have a nice day.

Hello Jaiho, Oh, I know those kind of spiders, I think they are no threat compare to the ones I saw that night. I swear i hate those huge spiders. I can deal with cockroach but a spider? If I miss something that spider might strike back and poisoned me if i don't hit it from a distance.

Yikes, I hate spiders too, tiny ones are one thing but big ones and poisonous ones are a whole other matter! I'm told we have black widow spiders in this area, I am not sure what they look like though... My friend who lives less than a mile away said he's seen 3 of them in his house and that there are several types of poisonous spiders here. I was just thinking I need to look them up so I know which ones to watch out for, but I am scared to go looking up a bunch of spider pics. Eeek!

Helo hdc4free, Both big and poisonous, once are indeed the trouble, we should avoid them at all cost though. Just imagine of them coming down you incase you look up, it's just too scary to boot. I don't how to avoid them most specially when I am asleep. well, i guess we should watch out for what we are looking at first when we walked. have a nice day.

there are only two possible things when that arachnid (spiders) bite you: You will turn into a hero Spider man, or you will turn into a mutant Spider freak monster, nyahahahaha it's only a joke.... it's because their hairy looks and the so very fat in-house big but thin legged freak spiders is my most phobia triggers..... i already have two insect sprayer besides me, i bring and carry it every time i sleep because i know, the spiders always taking advantage when we are having a deep sleep.

Hello mantis, Oh, I wish that could have been easy. there are two versions of that, i get bite and i become a spider man like in the movies. or i get bite and become the MAN spider, you know, the man who turned into a almost half man half spider. good for you that you got yourself a sprayer.

Hello surfer, Yeah, I strongly believe that spiders can really be killed by sprays, I hope i would have enough money to buy. they are indeed very dangerous and poisonus, some can cause your parts of the body to decay, this is something that I don't like facing. there's a reason why spiders aren't that big in the first place. have a nice day.
