Horror films - Love? or Loathe?

The Collector. What a film! I've seen it twice now. The second time was last night lol! i was able to pick up on all the finer details of the film, because i was heart scared and terrified like i was the first time i watched it. It is horrific! It's like Saw meets Freddy Kruger. I mean, this film should have been banned! It is just down right disgusting, and completely nerve racking, and i LOVED IT!! .. i adore scary films! nothing really scares me anymore tho. old films that people would call classics and say are terrifing, don't scare me. It would need to be something new with a lot of special effects. Aliens, and monsters don't scare me either.. Something realistic that you can imagine could possibly nearly maybe happen, are the best ones.. So this discussion is just to find out, horror films, love or loathe them? And those that love them, please do recommend!!

I was going to pick up The Collector on Saturday in HMV as they had it for cheap but I hesitated I hate my indecisive moments. I will pick it up after work this week once it it is still on sale lol. If ya want some horror recommendations give me a shout. You might not like all of them but you might like some. Not many horrors scare me either, I think I am immune to them lol. Whatever you do don't confuse creepy or scary with all out gore special effects but in saying that there are some exceptions, I have found most of the realistic ones that might happen are not even classed as horror

oh please do suggest some!! i'd be over the moon!! i'm still waiting to see insidious.. but my partner won't watch it with me haha.. i only just got her to watch the others the night before last!! you should defo get the collector, it has it all, gore, jumpyness, realisticness! it's a fantastic watch, and good twists.. certain parts aren't for the fainthearted if gore puts you off. it isn't so much scary, as "holy cow!" lol!

I used to be a movie addict going to movie theatres atleast three times a week, and horror films were my favorites. Dracula was one of my favorites. But, no more now. I don't like to watch horror films. I would rather sit and relax watching comedies and musicals.
