I always experience that im craving for something. But for people who wants to have a diet. This is really annoying sometimes, right? Even though you dont want to but you have cravings. What do you do to ignore this thing?

I know the feeling... Very annoying for people and even more annoying for dieters. Well, my mom used to tell me to drink lots of water. It helps with that empty craving feeling by making you feel full. If push comes to shove, I may sometimes preoccupy myself to stop from eating too much. It's said that when some people are bored, sometimes they eat more than necessary.

Oh no, I meant with your meals, there's also preoccupying yourself like I said. Once I did that so well that I nearly skipped dinner. XD

Some myLotters suggested to me when I have cravings I should at least take some, not to much.. Just some to fulfill my cravings! :) And I guess, you should do the same! Especially when you're on a diet like me!

i agree with edsss. You still have to respond to your physiologic need. Have some of it if you are in a diet. In addition, a cup of ice cream is equivalent to the calories and carbohydrates you get from 3 cups of rice. try drinking water before you eat the food you are craving. It will make you feel full leading to eating lesser amount of the food. That is your water therapy for people who is on diet:)

It's a good thing, that my cravings would visit me once in a while. I am trying to diet a bit, to flatten my stomach and so far, it's going smoothly. But mind you, i do give in to my cravings once in a while. It won't hurt you to. Just remember that when you gave in to your cravings you have to compensate it by eating lesser on meal times and by exercising for at least an hour .

I have craving for sweets everytime my menses is coming.I think it's hormonal in nature; like pregnant women craves and maybe some hormonal reactions when you are stress. I'm not really ignoring my cravings.I'm actually preparing for it,to have healthier options when it comes. It's better to satisfy it with good alternatives. That way you won't feel bad and be healthier at the same time.

Dark chocolate? Because of the strong taste of cocoa. And not sweet at all. I will try that.

hi:) don't fight your cravings when your dieting, because the tendency if you fight that you'll crave more, eat but only in small portion. that's how I maintain my weight I eat everything I want but always in moderation. I hope it helps:)

Yes I get the wierdest cravings at night. I always want a slice of thin crust bacon pizza after they close. Or chinese pork fried rice. I am heading for bed in a bit and am closing the night out with a hot cup of tea. If I drink something warm and liquid it seems to help me relax better and since its mostly water I feel full from it and then I don't crave things.
