facebook chat or yahoo messenger?

Hi i don't have FB account, nor YM account of mine, i use hubby's YM to talk to my kids only , i don't have friends to chat and i don't have time for this,.. Happy posting, cheers. Kalyani

i a few use yahoo messenger. For facebook, i only use facebook chatting and no use video conversation. Normally, i am use skype to chat, send file , video .etc. Because most of my friend they are on the skype when online, but maybe is not open facebook.

Yahoo messenger used to be, "the thing to use" just like AOL was a time and a half ago. Facebook seems to be the new-age thing and all my friends seem to use it a lot more than they use things like Yahoo anymore so that's usually why I stick to that. Although Facebook is limiting, a lot more people use it. With Trillian though, I hardly notice.

I use to use them both ,but now Facebook have a new chat so i use yahoo chat.I use both messenger Hotmail and yahoo,but i only sign in when i have time. Facebook video chat slow down the computer so i don't use it,people are complaining about it already. So i will stick with the messengers for now.

Neither. I'm allergic to both Facebook chat and YIM. I use IRC, which (according to the TV) means I'm a brilliant hacker guy. But serious answer here: I don't like the look of YIM, and I hated Facebook chat for always switching my active window. I don't know if Facebook chat still does that. I think I've had my status set to "offline" for ages now, so I wouldn't have known if they changed it. But even if they change it... Well, it's Facebook. They're probably planning on "accidentally" leaking my chat messages to third party applications. I do prefer IRC but I usually communicate through phone text messages or face-to-face meetings (offline).

I chat with my friends in facebook more than in ym. So, I prefer facebook chat. Also, in facebook, I get to see a lot of my friends online. :)

I usually chat with my friend in facebook but i haven't tried the new feature of facebook chat. I seldom use my yahoo messenger,but always open my email. I am always here in mylot and spend most of my time mylotting than chatting in social sites. I only keep my social sites to have updates with friends activities.

I go for both. I chat with my real life friends over FB. I chat with my online friends over YM. If i feel that my online friend is really worth trusting, then i would invite him as well at FB.

Yahoo still is yahoo.. It is the pioneer of all time instant messaging online.
