what're you're comments on the new facebook chatbox? do you find it good, bad, annoying? does it makes your chatting a whole lot easier?.. or did it destroy your chatting experience?..
for me.. i find it pretty annoying.. so i searched the web on how to revert it back.. i found this..

you need to log in to you facebook first, and type/copy that link on a different tab.
that is if you want it to temporarily revert back to the old style..
but if you want to permanently revert it..
install this script on you google chrome browser

Okay, tell me everything about this chatbox..I used to IM a few friends but I haven't been on FB due to personal circumstances and don't know when I'll be back..But I'd love to know what is different from this and the old IM?????

they updated the chatbox without first considering their users suggestion, because of this new chatbox, i hardly chat anymore.. the first thing you will notice is, it will appear instantly when you go online, it consumes a lot of space on your browser, it'll make loading a lot more slower, but you can hide it though.. but if you hide it.. you can't see your online friends. the next thing is.. you can't scroll up or down to see who's online or not, you have to search their names in the chatbox.. very hassle!
i guess that's pretty much the things that annoyed me in the new chatbox.. though it's only 2.. but it really is irritating to the bones!

Sounds irritating to me too..so when I hide it, does is stay hidden or do I have to hide it every time I sign back in? Because like I said, there are a few friends I talk to, but there are times I don't want to talk. So am I also able to show myself offline when I am on?

yes it does stay hidden, but you have to hide it every time you sign back in.. and yes it still posses the "offline" mode.. but what's irritating is the space it consumes, especially if your an avid chatter.. try it out for yourself, but incase they haven't updated you facebook, i advsd you do not update it.

I'm sorry, as for now, there are no permanent reverting apps on safari, but you could use the first link, you just need to log in to you facebook first, copy that link, make a new tab and paste that link on the new tab.

I never use the new facebook chat right now because it annoys me so much. I just wished Facebook would somehow get a survey to everyone on how they could improve their site and not just change it right away.

I can't stand it! The one thing that really bothers me is you can't scroll through it, you can type names, but what if you just want to scroll to see who's online?!

you're not alone my friend.. i've read many discussions about this matter, some says that this is one of the required updates until facebook uses video chat or whatyoumaycallit.. but this update is horrible!

the new chat box actually annoys me, considering that i have a very organized friends list where i can see who's going on line from the different groups i have created. it seemed that my effort on grouping my friends for the purpose of seeing them according to their cliques have totally gone to waste.

Fear not.. just follow the link which i posted in this discussion. it will revert your chatbox back before you updated your facebook.. :D
