I lived away from my loved ones when I was 15 because I need to stay in a dormitory when I am studying. I did find it hard the first week and month, but get used to it later. I guess you need to get used to it because in our lives we will not live with our family always, being near with them always is not possible, unless you choose to be with them whatever it takes. But there are few reasons that will keep us away from them, like studying and working or maybe having our own family . Take care of your health, your parents will be sad if they've come to know you are not taking of care of yourself.

Why do you skip meals? Don't you have time to prepare them? At least buy food that is easy to prepare. Have some biscuits or eggs which you can easily eat when you are hungry. You need to do this in order to stay healthy.

You need to take care of you! Try to manage your time with school and make sure you plan meals. Even if they are quick meals. Try to make a couple of dishes one night you have off and freeze them in Tupperware containers, then when you are off to class grab what you want and microwave it at school. Eating is important for concentration during class! I am a mother of 3 and full time student. I have my own place and have since I was 18. Most important is your heath as well.

We had the same case, Jamie911! I got so thin when I left home for college because I don't know how to cook any decent meal. I guess it helped a lot when I stock a lot of non-cook food like bread, jams, fruits, and chocolates at the house so I could nibble some when I get hungry.

I know the feeling cause i've been there. it's really hard to adjust living away from your family especially if you're close to them.living in a strange place with no friends is difficult. What i did to ease my loneliness was , i called them everyday and i try to meet some new friends. i join some groups and socialize and little by little i coped up.
