touching someone's life

It has been a long time since I have been regularly active on mylot. Sure I stop in from time to time, but I rarely come here for multiple days. For some reason I have found myself pulled in other directions.
However, I occasionally sign into my email and see that one of my mylot friends has posted a new discussion! I always read what they have to say. Many times I dont comment because it is one of the wonderful people that likes to warn the newbies of what they are doing wrong. But it often brings me back for a short while.
Today was one of those days that I received such an email. I was saddened to see that this person's mother had died. I left my condolences for her because I am truly saddened for the hard time she must endure.
A few minutes later, it dawned on me. It has been a full two years since I have spent much time on myLot. A lot has changed in my life. Some things for the better, other things perhaps not. Regardless, there are two people who have touched my life and always make me smile when I see their names.
MyLot has a fond place in my heart. Im not sure that my life will ever allow me to again spend a lot of time here. But I am glad for the examples that Alice and Diana have been to me. They are both wonderful people and I am thankful to have known them.
So when you go about your discussions today, be sure to enjoy every moment of it. You never know whose life you might touch!

Hello there. i am quite new here in mylot and I am so glad that this was introduced to me by a friend that I had meet in a chatroom. I always want to start blogging but since I seem can't collect my thoughts, posting in discussions here is okay. I get to share my thoughts on several discussions and I get good words aand inspirations too.
I am very thankful that I have met mylot. In my case, I am very depress with my situation right now. I have no nearby friends to share with. The advices, words that I have read and received here saved me from craziness.
There are some friends here in mylot that I consider my close friends now. They touched my heart and we are exchanging private messages too. One of my wishes now is for me to meet them. There is no harm in wishing, right? We have a lifetime to wait when will that happen. I am wishing too of many years of friendships too.

Its so nice when new people find this community!! It can definitely help through some hard times!! Im glad your friend was able to introduce you and that you have met many new friends here. 
Dont give up hope about meeting them someday. I met two of my best friends through a blogging community. We talked online and really got to know each other. After about 2 years, we were finally able to meet in person. We all live in separate corners of the country, so it is hard to get together. All three of us have only been together once, but it was WONDERFUL! We are planning on it again. So keep in touch with your friends and keep dreaming, you can make it happen!!

You are right, there is no harm in wishing!!! Everyone is so scared of people on the internet. But I know that I am a good person, so there must be other good people using the internet too!!! When I explain it to people like that, they can't help but agree the internet is a wonderful place to make friends!!!

Wow! you had met some of your blogging friends. I wouldn't stop dreaming that one day, I will meet my mylot friends too though we live in different countries. There is no harm in wishing!

missdyana It touched me too... I never responded to it. Don't know what to say. She touched me with her story. She always looks (reads) like a tough cooky but this just touched me. I lost my mother and I could relate to her. It is hard to loose a person that is close to you, even harder when they slowly drift away.. You should be here more often, sounds like you really have a point to make! Could use more people like you. To the point, honest and with a heart!

I appreciate your kind words!! I love when I find other people here who are honest and genuine!! People who want to have real conversations, not just get rich off of the internet!
Im sure Diana would appreciate any words of condolence or comfort you can offer. I am thankful to still have my mother. (Its times like this that I realize I should talk to her more often.) So it is difficult for me to even imagine what losing your mom is like!
