amy winehouse - tragedy? or predictable?

amy winehouse - true star, amy winehouse

many people won't see it the same way as i do, but i am devestated about amy winehouse's death. i doubt anyone on here won't have heard of her or her music in some way before, but if you haven't, please google her, or youtube her. her classic hits such as rehab, back to black, tears dry on their own, were complete hits, rehab being her come back single, even won 3 grammy awards!! .. but her turbulent relationship with her husband blake felder-civil, had begin to mark her downfall. she was so badly into drink and drugs, she cancelled tour dates, was constantly pictured with white substances around her nose, blood stained ballet pumps on her feet, the blood from where she injected heroin into in between her toes, when the veins on her arms couldn't handle it anymore. she was in a bad way, and all because she was inlove, and getting treated like rubbish by the man she loved.. if anyone had ever known of amy winehouse's music before blake got his claws into her, they would also know of a completely different appearance to the amy we knew before she died. she was curvy, chunky, not a tattoo insight, and was tanned and happy looking. a real fiesty girl, and everyone adored her for her voice. her song "stronger than me" had always been one of my favourites, so when i heard she was making a come back i was so happy. i have a large canvas of amy winehouse in my house, my little sister got it for me for my birthday, and i had her posters all around my room, and framed in my house. she was one of the post talented people, and when i heard she had released a tour date in my town, i was over the moon and bought tickets. but work commitments meant i had to sell them.. then the next tour date she had, she cancelled. so i've never had my chance to see her live, and i think thats what hurt me most of all. she was 27 years of age, and she was found dead at her camden home in london, on saturday the 23rd of july, at 4pm after police were called after someone found a woman deceased. she was pronounced dead at the scene. its common knowledge that she had a history of alcohol and sustance abuse, but the death is still unexplained as yet until a post-mortem is carried about.. apparently blake is inconsolable... and do you know what? i hope he is. and i'm glad. the drinking, the drugs, he got her into all of that, and then when he broke her heartm she stuck with it, because it was the only thing numbed her pain. what a waste of pure talent, and such a young life, who could have done so much with her voice, and inspiration to other people! it's such a sin when drugs and abuse claim the lives of those so young, especially those with so much to offer the world.. and sure was due to make a come back soon too. such a shame, such a tragic shame. the fact i'll never hear a new song of amy winehouse's on the radio completely breaks my heart. her music got me through some rough times in my life. not even because i experienced anything even close to what she did, or what she sang about, it was the fact that someone else in such a low place like that, could make something so amazing as beautiful music, out of her pain, then i could create something productive out of mine too. i will miss her music, and i'm thankful for the music and legacy she's left behind, and i hope young people out there will take example of whats happened to her, and i hope it changes a few lives, atleast that way such a star won't have died in vain.

aww thanks very much. she was an idol of mine. i loved her sense of style her voice, her talent for writing, and i am devestated that i'll never again hear any of her music, apart from old already recorded things. she will be greatly missed and i'm sure she has an extremely larger fanbase than just myself.. it's truely very sad.
