" I got all these responses so why did I not get paid" from a newbie. Help How

After umptten discussions telling newer ones you only get paid for what you yourself type and post, another new comer bewails he or she did not get credit for all the responses,he or she called it comments on her discussion" and she even contacted mylot admins. no answer yet.your take fellow my lotters,is it that hard to understand one does not get paid for someone else's work? is there sites where you do get paid for someone else's posts or am I losing my marbles here?

Hi Mrs. Hatley Yes no one earns for the efforts of someone else, not sure why some new members quite don't understand that. I mean really where online and or offline for that matter does anyone earn for doing absolutely nothing?? The worse part though is that no matter how many times we explain you type you earn and I type I earn some never comment back and or hard to say they even read the lengthy response and helpful tips we applied. Oh well Mrs. Hatley, let us not loose our precious marbles there are many more new comers of which some do actually learn from what we explain daily!

All we can do is continue to help and hope that at least one from time to time does listen. It is quite a thrill to see someone finally get with the program from time to time.

Now Hatley and HWG, none of us can afford to be stepping on lost marbles, that may cause a fall. Hold on to your marbles, and your hats, and your horses. We shall merrily type and earn on here.

Oh gosh yes we must not have a slip and fall as that could be very costly. At least I know that if my marbles get scattered on one of the corners of this site that one of you will come soon after and collect them for me.

Poor thing. Probably never occurred to her to REPLY to the responses, eh? Then she would have gotten something. That's not really why I'm replying though. I just wanted to ask, that if you're losing any marbles, can I have some? I keep dropping mine and they roll away somewhere....

hi manleyjoe yes perhaps they thought rules were there for breaking as some seem to do here then they can call mylot a scam and weep over it and garner much sympathy from other mylotters who have as yet not read the information or rules either.

Time and again we are being reminded 'you write you earn' and leaving responses to fate will not earn the starter of the discussions anything. This is another wake-up call for all especially newbies to take note of the procedures here to take every effort to reply to all your responders. It pays when we acknowledge our responses.

Wow it is great to see earnings increase with comments. I am also thinking of commenting back to response. I think it is good to comment on discussion.

hi zandi yes it really does as I have done nothing but responses one day and made 60 cents the next day did notheing but comments back to responses on my own discussion and I made $1.40 cents so it does pay very well to continue your discussion and its also a lot of fun getting all sorts of responses to comment back to.

I think that some of them think that if they are able to instigate a successful discussion, that should be reason for recompense. To a degree, I can understand that thinking. But, it still is what WE do here that earns us, not what OTHERS do. If we don't go to others' discussions and respond to them, we don't make very much. I don't go much at all these days, so my return is extremely minimal. You do get a bit more for starting discussions than just answering, but you need to do both as both are considered participation.

I think discussions ends when the person who starts does not comment back and it does not carry on unless we comment it. We get paid for commenting so I think it is good to comment on discussions we started.

jerzgirl but really a discussion is not a discussion until the maker comes back and gives his or her comments on all the responses. it just sits there and no they do not make but pennies for starting it mylot admins says so in the guidelines so it pays all of us to comment back, if we do not want that responsiblity then do not make useless discussions as its not adiscussion if nobody talks back and forth. you earn more for the comments than almost anything else you do here as I have seen my earnings double on the days I do mostly comments on my own discussions. it pays.no a discussion is not really successful til the maker comes back and reads and comments on the responses he or she gets. why do response if nobody is going to further the discussion?

hi rameshchow I am glad if I have helped someone as thats what I am trying to do and sometimes I get a bit sharp and wish I had not' been like that.I know when one comes here new and also has English as a second language there's an awful lot to take in so am thinking maybe we older ones need to tell new comers to accept us as friends' so we can explain in detail without anyone losing a discussion breaking rules about asking questions that are already answered in the questions and answers.I am sure willing to help explain anything in the information that a newcomer does not understand.

Yes, there are sites where you get paid for the number of views that you get. It is the opposite of here. That is why so many want a million friends and post tons of short things and get all tickled if they have lots of responses. That is why we all keep telling them "I type, I earn, you type, you earn." I think MyLot is kind of unique in that way. Here is one for us "We type, you learn" do you think that makes any difference? Hatley, they will either learn or leave, we can only tell them so many times.

A lot of the newbies get talked into joining this website with the misconception that they are going to make a lot of money, and that is not exactly true ! I joined just to participate in the interesting discussions, and I don't even care about the 'little bitty money ' we get, it's just an added reward for me !

I do not have referrals and I hate the tasks.I just respond and comment and make a few very few discussions so I can comment back on all my discussions.

Reading comprehension is important. Alot of angry folks because they don't pay attention. Has anyone ever gotten paid for someone else's work? I don't think so. I quit answering posts on this topic. I saw one again today. People who don't understand the English language maybe?

Hi Friend: No, you are not losing your marbles and it is becoming more than frustrating having to explain over and over again that we only get paid for what WE type not what others do. Imagine having a job where you are paid for the work your coworkers do there would be an awful lot of people staying home from work, since why should they bother coming in if they're earning they're salary this way. What really bothers me is they can only know they're receiving lots of responses by checking their posts and yet, they don't reply to any of them, mind boggling

When one first joins MyLot it's normal to not knowing the rules and the general feeling of the site, and it takes a time until we get used to the site as with most things in life. Regardless, common sense says that in a paid-to-post forum you will get paid based on your posts and not in the number of responses they get, it's normal to think so. But I as well have sometimes the feeling (based on my earnings when I open new topics) that the earnings are higher. Weather or not that is due to more responses or some illusion on my part I don't know. Another problem is that the guidelines and rules are too vague about that (OK, I know that very few actually read them). The only they clearly say is "we pay based on quality" but fails to explain what means "quality". Better said, it deliberately hides the true about the payment rates (the "proprietary system" thing). So I guess it's also normal that many members are asking about that.

ramres I think mylot admins thinks if you do nogt know what quality is b est look it up in an English dictonary as mylot asks all posting be in English.Yes we get paid when we type, you get paid when you type and surely the new ones who made ten discussions in ten minutes and never went back to comment on our responses can now see they made no money on those 10 but a few pennies as they did not bother to comment back. no on mylot you have to participate to earn real money so lazy people usually do not read any help info so they just slink off saying mylots just another scam. and another thing If they had a scale of say three cents for this five cents for that that all any newbies would do is just do the five cent thing and do it with crappy writing so they saw that would be a mess and made it quality,.in our life any more few people know what quality means as they settle for cruddy items they purchase and complain like crazy. quality is what endures, well made, well thought out, articulate, easy to understand and read, interesting and beguling. quality is something most people are not familar with.

That's cute, Hatley. Well yes, we do earn from our own efforts. We type, we earn right? If we don't type anything, we don't earn anything as well. It's funny though, I had been a newbie too but I didn't expect to earn money whenever I am inactive at this site. That much I know. Anyway, best of luck to all of us. Hello Mrs Hatley, There are some sites in which people do get earned as per the popularity of their discussion but on MYLOT it is not the case you are paid for the things which you type. You are not paid till you comment on the responses you got on your discussion so you have to comment on all those responses. Well there are newbies who don't understand it then its our duty to make them understand as when we were new some old users made us this understood as every thing cannot be understood by the guidelines so we should make them understand it.And its not really that much tough because they will ask 2 times but after that they will understand it.

hi sjvg but the guidelines are there so we all will read them and help each o ther understand them but use the darned things. newbies who refuse to do a damned thing to help themselves even with all the help we also give them are really being a tad lazy. If they have learned how to read our discussions why in hell cannot they read the quidelines. sure I will help anyone who makes an attempt first to help themselves.since when has it been wrong to attempt ' to help your self first before asking for help. new or old reading the information and according to mylot admins they say this also we should all read and reread the information all of it.

Hello Mrs Hatley, When a person joins a site he/she is always supposed to read all the guidelines and FAQs before he/she starts their activity on this site. They can not just start participating without knowing the rules & regulations. Though people don't understand it and try to learn it from old members which they should not. I still go through the guidelines whenever i get stuck somewhere and don't think any harm in doing it.

I suppose that we will always have some who will not read or follow rules. So folks like you and and a few others will always be explaining the rules of how to earn here on Mylot. Mylot rules are like a lot of other sites they are upgrading the rules so we need to check back often. Each time I re-read the terms or FAQ here I learn something new or am reminded of something I had forgotten. I am not familiar with any other sites like this so I do not if they exist or not. I do know that I earn from what my downline does at places like Clixsense and Wordlinx and sites like that.

hi Cthanum yes you will be clear proof that comments pay the commenter really well and that will convince a newcomer that you post you will get paid.So if you need to convince a newbie that the responses only paid the responders not the discussion maker at all you have an easy way to convince them of the real truth.

Hi ms. hatley... I was once a newbie and created a discussion that got lots of responses. I was so happy many responded. I thought the more responses, the more earnings. Only to find out on one of my comments (through mysD) that I have to comment on all of them for me to earn. That was the time I keep the thought to myself, "You type, you earn. I type, I earn." So, when it happens that I come across a newbie discussion asking how will they earn, I always tell them to remember this: "You type, you earn. I type, I earn."
