Procrastination - I'll do it later, tomorrow, next week, next month, etcetera ^^

Procrastination is the act of procrastinating or putting off things, postponing things to be done at another time. I have been procrastinating a lot lately. Laziness is getting the better of me. Last week I had something I really had to do on Friday but I only did yesterday, Monday. And another thing I should have done also last week, I will only do today to beat the deadline. ^^ On Saturday, I had the whole day to write my part in our group assignment so I could email it to my group mate during the night. I did not write until it was already evening. lol I think procrastinating will forever be in my vocabulary!

A lot of people procrastinate. We have lists and lists of things to be done but we'd rather leave it until the last minute. Sometimes we push things so far that we completely forgot about it and end up getting in trouble over it. These days I add a reminder on my handphone for all the important tasks. But of course I set it to only remind me one day before the due date :P

That's very nice of you to remind yourself a day earlier than the deadline! That's a very long time for cramming!

haha, u won't be the only one, secretbear!! lol The same goes for me too. I dun really like to finish my stuff earlier than it should be because i work feel any sense of accomplishment in that way.. haha =D I'm trained to rush through everything at the last minute, and anything before that makes me feel as if i've done nothing.. haha It does not matter when we finish our work as long as we finished it on time right, secret?? haha

My sci-fi geek of a husband came up with the perfect procrastination logic. "I'll do it next week, but if you want it done now, you'll just have to invent a time machine that'll send me to next week. If you can't invent a time machine that'll take me to next week, you'll just have to wait till time passes the old fashioned way."

Sometimes when we put off doing something then it becomes irrelevant and we no longer need to bother doing it. But for the most part it is probably best not to procrastinate, especially with school assignments. It is good to get the work done a few days ahead and then have time to reread it and maybe make corrections. That can be the difference between an A and a B.

Yeah, I agree. It's best to finish soon because I will have time to edit my work. And I love editing! I wish I can go there first and skip the first phase.

Me, too. Whenever I'm in front of the computer, I somehow forget the other things that I should be doing.

I have had the same problem lately. It seems like after the fair was over last week I have been procrastinating a lot because I just feel so worn down. With the heat index being over 105most every day and being in it all day for 5 days, I am just exhausted!

Procrastinator's Unite...Tomorrow AND Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow? Yeah I have a really bad habit of procrastinating. There is plenty I should be doing but haven't done yet, one of them is to go out and bicycle etc, but like I said haven't done that yet. I need to, I need to look for work more, preferrably within the next few days and hopefully get something within the next week. So much I should be doing but haven't.' Like Clean and Organize.

For me not good idea you have you need to develop it even if you are not to commit the deadline it is good to be finished it so that your mind don't be hazel for everything.

I know the feeling about procrastination. I have been doing my share of it too lately. I am in school full-time and have been pulling all nighters to get my work done instead of breakng my assignments up into sections. I am still working on the Master Bathroom and was hoping to be done last week, but of course I am not. I also wanted to have the kitchen, the dining room, and the guest bathroom painted by the end of this month, but now I see that will not be happening. By this time I usually start buying things to make my home made gifts for Christmas and I have not done that either.

I was planning to apply for a job last week but I guess I end saying "I'll just do it tomorrow". I was suppose to apply today but the weather is very cooperative. It seems like procrastination is on my vocabulary as well nowadays.

Procrastination is theft of time. If you don't handle a task, say mending our torn books and notebooks- when you first detect it, it will probably cost you more time and labour than it would have if you'd handled it right away. Over years, I have discovered no fail tips and tactics. Use them to help start saying, "I'll do it now". Set a firm day and time to tackle an unpleasant project on your calendar, fix a day and time.Unless there is an emergency, don't let anything stop you from keeping the appointment. Write down the steps you need to take to finish a job. List task in the order you should perform them. Then check off each step as you complete it so you can see your progress.
