Can a Christian marry his mother or his sister?

Most of the Christians do many things which is prohibited in the Old testament of the Bible, saying that they are under the new testament, as example, they eat pork and some of them commit adultery and fornication calling it Lovemaking and do many other things which is prohibited in the Old testament of the Bible like prying to images and Idols. The Old testament of the Bible [Leviticus 18] prohibits for the brother to marry his sister, or for the son to marry his mother, and The New Testament doesn't even talk about it. Does that mean that a Christian brother can marry his sister? or a Christian son can marry his mother? If a Christian can marry his mother, and it happened that they have a child, will he consider this child his son or his brother? If it is not allowed that a Christian can marry his Mother because it is prohibited in the Law, then Why they eat pork and do many other things although it is also prohibited in the Law? or in another words, Which parts of the Law they believe in and Which parts they reject? Do you really think that the Bible is a perfect source of guidance? because it is says that God is not the author of confusion, but I think the corruption of men is the reason of All confusion. Your Thoughts!

"and some of them commit adultery and fornication calling it Lovemaking" - Growing up in a community with a large Arab population I can tell you that Muslims do the same things, Its not about the religion its about the integrity of the individuals.

Evanhunter, I know that some Muslims also commit sins and break the Law, but there is difference between committing something while you clearly know that it is prohibited and thus you clearly know you disobey God's commandments and you need to stop & repentance is required. Christians commit many things in common bias while they don't even know that they commit any sins, and they seek the Eternal Life whatever they do. there is a great difference between those who fear the day of Judgment, and those who think that they can do anything because they are God's chosen people or those who think that nothing is required because God did it for them on the cross. the imaginary security of punishment in the hereafter will never lead to a decent life.

Hi Gardano! How's your day? Do you want to marry your mother or sister? Or does anybody here wants to marry their own mother or sister or other their own relatives? If you don't want then that maybe answered your question. But if you want or anybody wants it, well that's is very interesting. Is it?

Not at all! Adultery is sin. Jesus came to law enforcement, and heal sick people on Saturday. King David ate the loaves of proposition because he was going to starve. We Christians believe in Old and New Testament, in fact, during the Mass will be read both. And it's true we Christians are commiting sin, but not all.

you can't do it because it is against the law. the new testament is only short, i think perhaps jesus didn't feel the need to repeat what was probably a widely held belief that this is wrong, he had a lot to do, in such a short period of time! but even if it weren't wrong on moral grounds it would be wrong because marrying too close a relative increases the chances of inherited diseases, because the gene pool of any offspring are more restricted, and therefore it should not be done for health reasons either.

I don't know about everywhere in the world, but in the UK, definitely not. Christian or otherwise, it's not legal in this country.
