You see your star because you have reached 100 user rating (the number by your username).
The star is your user reputation and it is the result of how others have rated your posts using the +/- beside your posts.

Hello Jelminrie,
In short, it indicates the number of clashes that you had have here on mylot, 9 or 10 are good. 8 (Yellow star) means 1 clash at least, 7 (White star) less than 3 but more than 1 clashes and the list goes on, if you find someone with less than 6 star, this indicates that there are a few lovers of him/her profile here on mylot and those people are screwing up his/her happiness nicely.

I can understand the pain as i also suffered from it
.Its only few people who do that and are not open minded but most of the people are fair enough and understand well when to rate - and when to rate +.
I do rate + most of the time to people whenever i feel the response is contributing to the topic.I rarely give - to people. Its always a bad thinking of people that they -ve rate people when they don't agree to their point. They should not do it.

Hey guys,
both of you have its own point of view, and both do have a reason,there are just some mean people and many could not stop them, they may rate you negative or positive and it's beyond our control.
I appreciate those stars increase or decrease, if it turns to blue, many are impressed by your comments, and everyone should be thankful for everybody, and if it turns to white, we need to examine our selves as well as our posts, we might not be giving valuable pieces or, we might have hurting somebody by words, and we have a choice whether to pull our ratings up or push it down...

The star could increase or decrease the more you are active depending on how others rate your activity. It does not depend on how active you are. Indeed stars can change when you are completely inactive if other users are rating your previous posts while you are away.
