There seems to be no end to Indian bowlers' struggle with the tailenders of England XI. Indian bowlers have to learn a lot from the performance of Stuart Broad. 71 in the 2nd innings of first test. 64 runs in 66 balls with 9 fours with Indian pacers in full cry. What else is there to mention now? If India wants to win this test their batsmen have to show their mettle. As I write this India have already lost a wicket!

Yes, you are right. Indian batsmen, bowlers, fielders have to try their level full and they should show them that Indians are still test no.1 team.

We have renowned batsmen but they are showing some brittleness. The reliability is being found lacking. One can only hope they do their job well. Pacers did their job well to restrict England to 221. Harbhajan should have done justice to his prowess. At least he should come good in batting so that the team scores well even in the event of losing main batsmen. Only then we can say we are no.1 team.

This is the first day of 2nd test match. And one time India was in good position when England was 123/8. But after than Gream Swan and Sturat Brad make good innings and take their team on 221. And now after batting England is also performs well in bowling too. Because now Indian team has loose their first wicket on 0 runs. So overall bow England are in good position. And I hope our Indian team also gives good comeback.

Yes. That is the crux of the problem for India XI. After skittling 8 wickets for a paltry 123, England were allowed to reach 221! Like in the 2nd innings in the first innings. Sad. Weakness of our bowling power is being exposed by the tailenders.

Broad is having an extra ordinary run with his bat in this series. He also bowled brilliantly in the first test. In this test, his effectiveness so far has a bit lower than the first test. Yes, England mounted a great comeback after being 8 down for 110 odd runs. But having said that they have only put up a score of 221 on the board. While India could have bowled them for less, I think they will still take it. Currently India is very well placed to take a lead in the first innings at tea with the score at 215 for 4. Cheers! Ram

This is old problem with INDIA i think its inherted. I don't think on same pitch if a bowler unable to hold bat properly can make 60 70 odd runs but our great batsmen having so many record in their name can't.

England did make a small comback and posted a score over 200 despite they being in tatters at 132 for 8. They sure had a plan after the tea interval. It was rather than play defence lets score as quick as possible as there will be a good delivery that they will lose their wicket to. Well it worked and they got quite a few runs from there. The Indian bowlers did bowl well and exploitated the cloudy conditions. Not having Zaheer in the side Dhoni would have had a lot of questions in his mind and his bowlers did not let him down. Now it is up to the batsmen to deliver on day two and get a good score on board and put England under more pressure. India will be looking to sqquare the series and a poor batting display tommorow will not help the visitors. They will rely heavily on the likes of Dravid, Laxman and Tendulkar to get good scores and put them in complete control of the game. But mind you the weather conditions will not be ideal for batting and England do have some good bowlers who will be looking for revenge..
