Most interesting interests!!

You can have many interests on Mylot. Also you can start any discussion on any of those interests. But after spending some time in MyLot I have found out that not all of these interests are equally interesting. By interesting I mean the chance of getting good response from your discussion. I think that common interests like life, myLot.com, Facebook.com, internet, relationships, questions and answers attract more people. On the other hand, discussion on unique topics like sports, hobbies etc. gives less response. So creating unique discussions does not always help you. Do you agree with my findings? What in your opinion are the most discussed interests?

hi,debs90.maybe you are right.so many people on mylot.com,who should give much attention to those common interests,as you refers above,life,relationship,internet etc rather than unique issues,such as sports and hobbies.more think like it that life and relationship need much advice and sports and hobbies problems are easily to solve by themselves.so,less response will be given.

I guess everyone has their fair share of interests. As for me, being almost reaching retirement age, my kind of interest would be along how to make more money, ecommerce, retirement, holidays, etc.
I think whether old or young, interesting topics will be those on making money.

I am not particulary interested in what are the most discussed interests of which gey most answers. I am interested that I get answers in what I´m interested in. And I get enough of them. I hav several types of intersts, but sometimes I just do not accept a new one becauuse it has nothing to do with me. For instance, I doubt if I have the interest Facebook and I would never answer a post there. I don´t use much Facebook and I don´t like it. I am more into gardening, food, traveling and, why not, making a bit of money online

I also think like you
.There are lot of members in the interest like MYLOT,life,people,relationship,FB,Q&A therefore chance of getting response is much higher than the discussions you start in the categories having less members.And its always great to have lot people on the discussion.

I find that is true. I have noticed that with my self and then I started to look at others postings and noticed that when they put it under a special topic it, the discussion did not receive it's due attention. Then there are those out there who are looking for just that type of topic. It just depends on the weather here on My lot I guess. It is frustrating to find what will jolt some ones intrest until you get comfortable. THis is so much like a family and you learn to feel others out and what they want to read about.
