Don't you think Avatar script is much similar to Pocahontas script? I think it is a proove of the disrespect that some people have for original ideas. I think there are original ideas, it s just that the system don't promote them... Also, there are lots of scripts like this: take for example "The Emerald Forest" and many many more... you have an indigenous tribe dangered by occidental people, then the handsome blond guy who makes them go to war and saves them at the end... I think it is a bit outdated idea...

me too. as a bat obsessed child, I loved that it was a film that had a bat character that wasn't frightening or evil, when I loved them.

oh yeah, very much and noted by people who really were underwhelmed by the movie... as a "geek girl" I can admire the effects, as a writer - well, its a tired old story... then again, so was Star Wars...

I didnt even notice that. hahaha but idk it happens a lot a remade idea, like the classic love story boy meet girl. blah blah blah. But it works, i enjoyed Avatar for its beauty and somewhat the plot line. The environment is in danger thing will stick around tho, since we have global warming ect. I actually like having the movies about it because ppl pay attention to the environment again. Its like hey remember me, oh okay, good.
