what is electronic cigarette?

I am not a smoker. I just come across this new product about electronic cigarette. Do you know something about it? Do you think this is good for heavy smokers?

Its a fake cig, its just water vapor. My uncle needed to quit so he was going to do this and hes a HEAVY smoker. i hope he quits. I should check on him... :)

I recently saw these at a mall stand. I think they might be good for a heavy smoker. They can use them in public too. There are these little cartridges that have nicotine in them and when they turn it on..they can draw what looks like smoke. It's just water vapors though. They are neat. I think the package I saw was a starter and three months for $80. I bet it would end up saving them money too.
