ambulance - ambulance service northern ireland

i had a "life is so short" moment this morning, and it's really shook me up.. especially after reading the news.. on my way to work this morning, some parts of the road were closed, and i had to walk past a part of it to get to work. i asked the police woman, if i was able to get by and she said yes. so i walked on down, only to come face to face with four police cars, an ambulance, and a cycling bike, completely mangled and bent and deformed, and blood all over the road.. i was then told i couldn;t get by, and had to double back on myself and go down a different route. so i did. and when i got back, 4 people had arrived, all crying their eyes out and in complete hysterics. a 30 year old woman had been taken to hospital with severe head injuries, and she died in hospital. she had been on the bike. a lorry had been turning the corner at the blind spot, and hadn't seen her as it was a slip lane, and had completely mowed her down. he ran right over her. the bike was completely bent and buckled. when i got into work, 20 minutes late after my de-tour, i checked the news website. she was firstly described as to be in a very serious condition, and died on her way to hospital seeing the blood and the bike has really shook me up. has anyone else ever witnessed an accident? this is my 3rd now..

I'm sorry that was the third. You seem to have the luck of the...oh, well. Yes, I've seen some one get hit by a bus here in the states when I was a little boy. That is the only one that I was close to anyway. it was sad, but not fatal, just a busted le or arm. I'm sure it's a little traumatic to see that first thing in the morning, or anytime.

hi chickdigscars ye about four or five months ago my best friend 'and I were on our way to a grocery store whenwe were stopped at the lightand this woman driving a gnoromous SUV turned and did not see the boy walking his bike. s he hit the bike and the boy, then stalled her damned huge car. The boy we saw get flung up into the air, but in a few minutes he did get up and walked to the sidewalk. but then he collapsed. we were both shaken up as we did not know how badly he was hurt. when we came back a police care, and an ambulance was there and were loading the boy into the ambulance. we never did find out if he lived or was badly hurt or what. the woman driving that over sized SUB was in the wrong as she had no business tuning into that lane when the boy had the pedestrian green walk light. so she ran a red light then stalled after hitting the boy.We were so shaken up by that as it happened in front of us.
