Stepping into unfamiliar territory

I think many of us have our favorite sections of this website that we tend to post in a lot of the time. There might be certain topics that we also might step around a lot of the time. Still there are times where we want to stretch our creative muscles and go into areas of the website to discuss things that we might normally. A change of the scenery for a day or so, to really allow us something new. Sometimes to varying degrees of success or lack there of. Do any of you find yourself stepping into unfamiliar territory from time to time on this website, just as a brain exercise?

hi megamatt. yup, i try to go to a discussion that is not initially in my interest and try my best participate in that discussion. sometimes, i just read through the thread to learn something new and post my appreciation about it. by the way matt, haven't seen you much in the wwe topic here in mylot. i always look forward to reading your insights there man. not much happening there now. woudl love to hear your thoughts about the storyline involving cm punk and him 'leaving' the wwe with the belt. personally, i think it is a very good storyline. really engaging and something that reminds me of the story lines from the wwe attitude era. cm punk blowing a goodbye kiss to vince was priceless. plus punk showing up in hhh press conference in the comic convention in san diego (???) was just classic. like what i said man, would really like to hear your thoughts about this one plus anything significant happening in wwe. cheers!!!

Yes there are many times where we learn a lot of things from this website. We tend to step outside our comfort zones a lot of the time and it really can be rather enlightening to say the very least. So we are going to be able to learn a lot of something when we are really going to just appreciate that. I'm sure every topic has some degree of thought into it. The Summer of Punk 2.0...love it. The storyline along with the match at Money in the Bank was nothing short of amazing. The most amazing thing is that we've gone nearly two months without this storyline being messed up. I keep waiting, "okay this is the week where they're going to bungle something, like they do with every single big storyline post Invasion". But so far its been rather great. I hope that their Summerslam match is on the level or even above Money in the Bank. The pressure is on in many ways. Although its likely that Cena is going to unify the titles and we're going to be back to business as usual. Likely with Del Rio and Cena being the big feud this fall. Although I did think of something that might be bigger than Punk for this, but I'll make a post in the WWE forum a bit later. Punk is on the level to make it a big deal for Wrestlemania as well and I'm sure you might be able to guess where I'm going with this by just bringing up Wrestlemania. But I've rambled on. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

Hi there, I interact all over the lot to a great deal of topics in a variety of interests. I do see that many are in the interests of relationships, day to day issues and myLot but many many others also. I like the variety because it allows me to mix it up so I don't get bored or disinterested. I have from time to time entered certain unfamiliar interests and or topics and do enjoy researching the net and asking questions so I can familiarize myself with yet more learning ability.

Variety tends to be the spice of life for sure. There are going to be a lot of times where I find myself venturing into a topic. Perhaps its because its in the related topics panel through the side. Perhaps I am just navigating the hot topics list. Regardless of what leads me there, it does in fact open my eyes to some new and great things for sure. It is interesting to look into those things. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

I have my favorite topics on My Lot and anything to do with travel has me interested. I like general topics like life and family stuff like have kids. I sometimes have a change of scenery and then discuss things I don't normally do. I sometimes find new topics that I haven't thought of before. It can be interesting to look at new members discussions. I remember being new on excellent My Lot.

It has been a long time since I've been new but I do in fact remember it as well. It is rather interesting to see a lot of these people and whatever new topics that they are going to come up with during their time. I find it rather fascinating to say the very least to look at some of those new people and what they decide to come out. Granted there can be some awkwardness as they are finding their feet. Still I do have my comfort areas along with my areas that I might be in from time to time. Still there are times where when I go into areas where I think that I can find some new topics that I go, "hey, I can discuss this." That is really a mark of any writer being able to really discuss much of everything that comes along to say the very least. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

Yes, I definitely do try to post and respond to discussions in any many different interests as I can - in that way you are able to learn so much more and can expand on your knowledge in ALL areas, not just the areas you are comfortable with.

An excellent point for sure. There are times where we are going to get rather content with a lot of things we post on this website but there are times where stepping out can stretch our virtual legs and it can be a great exercise of the mind. Granted, there are a lot of times where it might be a misstep and an experiment, but you just never really know. So yes it does expand your knowledge. It also pushes you to think in a number of ways that you have not previously thought of. It can be a wonderful exercise of the mind that can really push us to knew heights. Like you said, you might rather learn something as well. It is a rather great thing for sure. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.
