Lemon Grass Tea

Anyone who loves to drink teas? Why not consider Lemon grass as tea for health benefits, especially those with high blood pressure, high cholesterol and some other ailments in their body.I do that from time to time.I usually drink hot lemon grass tea before meals or sometimes after mealtime, especially after eating a heavy fatty meal. I feel lighter and awake after taking it. I have read that lemon grass is a good anti oxidant which also regenerate cells, the best advice for those who have cancer.

I am not fond of taking teas. Though, after you have narrated its benefits, i guess it won't hurt if i try it too, to myself. I will try to look for one here in our country if there's any. Thanks for the nice information.

Are you from the PHilippines too, coz' i am. I live in the province. What is lemon grass in Tagalog. I suppose , i could boil the leaves and drink it like juice? Is it "tanglad" as we call it here in our province?

It is a guaranteed wonderful kind of drink for our body Simplyd. A cousin in law who has high blood pressure had taken this just like drinking water before and after meals. When he monitored his blood pressure, the result is always in the normal range as compared before when he was not a lemon grass tea drinker. If you are in the Philippines, and you live in the province, you can easily find lemon grass in the neighborhood.

I am a avid tea drinker and I love teas. I love drinking black tea, milk tea, green tea, ginger tea and so on but I have never tried lemon grass tea and to be honest i don't really know where to find them too! Does it taste similar to lemon tea? And how does it taste? Since you mentioned some health benefits, I feel like trying it too :)

Lemon tea is different but it can become one if you will add lemon juice in it. I am sure you will love its taste because you are a lover of teas. Just try this new herbal concoction and enjoy its flavor;)

I enjoy drinking all kinds of teas but haven't tried lemon grass. Have you tried it iced? Since it's been hot here, hot tea doesn't sound very appealing!

Yes, iced lemon grass tea is a great cooler when the climate is hot, especially during summer season. Just boil the lemon grass in a pot of water for a few minutes, let it cool and pour in a glass of ice cubes, add some honey and a bit of lemon juice to have a good taste. It is so refreshing, much better than cola drinks when all you have is acid, soda and some other chemicals not good for one's body.

I am a green tea drinker. I drink green tea just about throughout the day. Yes, I certainly believe in the herbal values of green tea, and it certainly helps keeping my blood pressure under control. I have not tried lemon grass tea yet. Thank you for the information.
