Say something and the opposite happens, why?

It seems to always happen, I'll say something and low and behold, the contrary will happen. Let me give you a few examples. I was working, IM my manager to tell her something is wrong, then I tell her that for sure, the client wont come back......no sooner said, Bam, the client comes back!! Everybody around me is sick with a cold. Someone asks me if Im doing alright and I say oh yes, I dont have a cold..BAM, I get a cold a few days after!! I could go on and on like this. Now Im afraid to say anything because who knows who's listening and will come hit me over the head just to show me that Im wrong!! Am I the only one having this happen to or is there someone else, out there who has the same? Sometimes I look up at the ceiling and tell hubby its that cam that was installed so they could watch me. Of course I dont believe that, im not a psyzo, but its a joke that we have, hubby knows that if I say, oh look its sunny so you're ok, it wont rain, he can set his watch on it, it'll rain in no time!! Please tell me Im not the only one??

I think to avoid this you need to remember not to make a statement about anything you don't have full control of. I have had to eat my words so many times that I have learned never to give a statement as though it was a fact. It also helps you keep your foot out of your mouth. (isn't that a funny picture)

Yes it is a funny picture and believe it or not, I can still put my toe in my mouth or my foot behind my head, now theres another funny picture for ya!! Oh I know what you mean about eating your words, happens to me all the time but now its funny. When I was younger it did bother me, but not anymore. Everybody knows that when I say something will happen.......it wont!! IF I say it'll rain, they dont take their umbrellas, they know it'll be sunny!! So in a way, Im sort of predicting stuff but in reverse.

Thats the problem, sometimes it doesn and sometimes its the opposite!! Thing is, one never knows when its going to happen and when it wont Thing is, when I do tarot for my friends or family, it always happens then. Weird, isnt it?

My blessing and curse is that when I predict that something will happen, it very often does!

I reckon It happens by coincidence,if so,You might as well always say or think the bad things and see what will happen. But then,in real life It is nothing new that the prediction unfortunately comes true.

Yes, it might be coincidence but it happens way too often to be so. Now I just try to keep quiet when I dont want something to happen. I'll say something when I want the opposite but it doesnt always work haha!!

Yes, I do think that happens to me, but no examples right at this moment. Never say you are healthy, because at that very moment you may breathe in the germs that are going to get you.Having a customer return that you think is gone for good is a good thing, though.

Yes it was good that the customer did return as it did pay quite well, so I should say it more often but then it wont happen. Law of the opposite I guess!! At least I know Im not the only one. I know about saying you're healthy....yup. Now when Im asked, I just smile and say nothing

Yup I know what you are saying. My problems always happen at work on the weekend when the boss goes away. If I say on Thursday that I hope for a good weekend, then something always goes wrong.

What a bummer, right? So now I bet you do like me, you dont say anything because you know what will happen if you do. Someone is playing a joke on us I think

is it the law of the opposite? well, it is coincidence that it happens the things that you think of. it is being pessimist that is running over your mind. i know that these things happened to me too. but i do not give much thought because it is negativity in me which i do not want to prevail.

It doesnt bother me that much and the only reason Im asking others is to see if it does happen to others also. Actually, its become a joke at my house because if I say something will happen, hubby starts to laugh saying that now that Ive said it, it wont happen There are more important things to worry about than that, but still it puzzles me that it does !!

before anything else.. can you say to me that I'm poor..hehehehe! now back to business.. well!that one is the wonder of the mind really.. when you think it does happen will it happen.. but if you have a strong belief that its fictional then that is what it is.. maybe its all but coincidence.. i mean, the clients coming back and the weather.. though with the colds, its expected and you have no escape from it..

You are poor!! In my head now, I am thinking of you having so much money that you wont know what to do with it. I do hope it happens. Wouldnt it be fun if it would and that would be all we'd have to do. Id go around wishing everybody to be poor knowing they'd be rich!! I think its worth a try

There is always an element of doubt in what we think, say or do. So I think the Universe picks up on that and perversely gives us the opposite because we can't make up our minds! We need to give it clear, unswerving, instructions for it to come up with the goods!

I wish that were true but with my example with the customer, I was positive at 100% that he would NOT come back. I guess he wouldnt have if I didnt say anything but since I did say something, the universe had to prove me wrong!! Im not stressing over this but find it funny at times. Well it does make hubby laugh when I say something will happen....he then laughs and says, "you know what will happen now, do you" lol. I know about asking the universe about something and be clear about it even down to the tiniest of details. It does work too!!

I once asked for a washing machine but I forgot to ask for a fully functioning one, and I got a duff one! Next time I asked for a fully functioning one and that is what I received! I am going to be much more specific in the future with my requests!

Yes we have to give details, as much details as possible and the universe does deliver. I wanted a SUV, a black one, 4x4, automatic transmission, fully equipped with a/c, Cd player and all that and I asked for it and I also said that I wanted to pay only a certain amount per month and not a cent more because I wanted a new one. Well the universe DID deliver. I remember the face of the salesman when I walked in the dealership and said I wanted a black SUV, blah blah.....at that price and he started laughing but I was very serious and he said, lets see what we can do ........and he did just as I wanted That sure made me feel good and I remembered to say THANK YOU to the universe after when I drove it home. Still have it by the way......
