have you ever thought of reusing the big pill bottles?

I try to keep my desk neat but today I could not find something to put inkpens and pencils in so I thought why not use a empty bottle so I took the label off and now it's sitting on my desk it saves me some money which is a good thing now days.

I resuse any kind of thing that comes around. My homemade jams are placed in recycled jars from tomato sauce, child food (saved long time ago from my grandchildren, and so on. Some of my desk items are made with big cans that I cover with used gift paprper. They look neat! Yu can also add some ribbon to make it even more chic.

Apricot in bloom - The apricot in my garden, last year.
Thanks, stowyk. I have an apricot tree and every year I make jam for a lot of pople for the whole year. So I have to collect jars the year around. I´ll post a picture of my apricot tree in bloom last year, so you know what I mean.

That's a neat idea! I reuse everything I can and those big pill bottles are handy for a lot of things. I've even used them to store little dabs of sauces in the refrigerator until I could use them. I have a mug that has a chip out of it that I use for pens and pencils on my desk.

I have resused them before too. I keep my pens, markers and pencils in a coffee cup now though.

There's always a use for empty pill bottles especially the clear ones to organize things like paperclips, nails, screws, buttons, sewing needles, and beads that i can think of off the top of my head.

I use large cashew nut bottle to store large pot spoons. I generally find a second life for most things I buy. My cousins laugh at me. I used a large oil bottle and made designs with a zigzag scissor and gave it to my daughter for her pensils and crayon. Last year I glued the tubes of old cling wrap to an old Cd, decorated it with flowers and made a beautiful penholder.

Definitely. I love reusing things. Shoe boxes make great storage boxes. Actually, I have a large, empty vitamin bottle sitting on my desk. I just haven't found a use for it yet :P
