I have entered many competitions over the years and have never won a thing. Yes I am quite lucky when it comes to raffles and in fact won two prizes in the most recent one but as for online or postal competitions, nah, never. Even with the online surveys, I occassionally enter the competitions to earn extra points which convert to vouchers for various high street stores but I never win them either.
Do you ever enter competitions? Have you ever won much?

I gave up on those competitions and contests. I don't believe I ever won anything and my mindset now is not to waste my time and effort. I rather move on in life.

Like you Humbug, I have not won a thing. I have entered the Publishers Clearing House drawings for over 40 years and never won, not one thing! The same with everything else. I do tons of surveys and I try to win things all the time. Once in awhile I get tired of trying and will not do one or two after years and years but I don't think that has stopped me from winning. I just was not going to win anyway.
I have won a couple of the things where I walked into a store and bought a space on a card to win something being raffled off. Both of these things being a doll. One was 35 years ago and the other one was just 1 year ago. I gave the last one to one of my grand-daughters for Christmas.
I have sold/traded my points for chances to win and still nothing.
It's a gimmick to get people to buy things or do something so the company getting you to do these things can make money. That's all.

Yes, I found that many times I get lots of junk mail depending on how I respond to questions. I hate it. They make lots of money selling our data to these companies and we do all the work for nothing but junk mail.

You are right they must give away what they are claiming to give. But think about it they send us 20 emails a week for 1 main prize and maybe 2 or 3 other smaller ones that are all being given out a whole year and even up to 3 years from when they are sending out these emails for them.
Yes, their pockets are being lined very well!

Uhhh I am very bad at lotteries and raffles and have by far never won a thing. I get so annoyed and don't wanna take part in them at all. And even in the online world I never win anything! But hopeful, who knows my luck might change 
Anyway last year we had a school thing and i won the 3rd prize in the talent show haha if that counts

Yes there are some really lucky people out there, like this friend of mine. He's so lucky i can't explain. He gets prizes, even if the smallest one in every raffle he takes part in. And he also got picked for scholarship for the whole 4 years of university which starts next year!!

Me and my boyfriend won a game named "BINGO" are you familliar of that?And we did combine our name and his name plus our monthsay it won a lottery. We're so lucky on numbers but not on raffles..I never win on raffles..

It's okay if you didn't make lots of money in bingo, as long as you enjoy yourself. I won that day on the next day he won. We made good money in bingo for it's my first tie to join and i won JACKPOT

sOUNDS LIKE YOUR LUCK RUNS ABOUT LIKE MINE. i HAVE NEVER BEEN LUCKY when it comes to winning things. I don't even try anymore, lol. Hope your luck changes.

I only play the lottery once in awhile. I buy Power Ball,Mega Bucks and scratch off tickets. The most I won was $15.00 on a scratch off ticket. I sometime win a dollar or two sometimes. I do enter,on line,Publiser's Clearing House. I have not one a thing from them.

I have won raffles in the past years like electric fan in a Christmas Party and cellular phone in attendance raffle. Ofcourse I am so happy when my name was called.
My husband had won a little amount in the lottery too. I hope next time we will hit the jackpot. ;)

Yes I think we all dream of winning the lottery but you have to be in it to win it and even though it doesn't cost much to buy a ticket I have spent quite a bit over the many years without winning anything so I rarely bother with it now. hahaha

I have never won anything in a competition or raffle. Some people are just lucky! My sister went to a raffle one time and won 3 times! I think maybe I should have her do the raffles for me! Lol

I do enter competitions but unfortunately I never win either especially when it comes to raffles :P Funny thing is there are times when I was completely not expecting to have my name/number drawn, it will get drawn (for example,volunteer through raffle or something) I guess I just don't jive with any competitions or games that requires luck that's why I'm also a bit scared of gambling. Lol!

I am very bad at things I can't control and that includes competitions, raffles and gambling. I tried entering a lot these, not once have I won any prizes. Even the minor raffle on our office for snacks, I can't even get it! lol I'm only good with things that I can control and manipulate, maybe I'll just stick to that.
