Country? Never

In my previous life I never thought that I would listen to Country Music, I'd rather have silence. But now in my old age, when my ears are not as good as they once were, that is what I listen to. I can hear the words, many other music choices sound just like mush. I can sing along, the tunes are simple and I can beat the rhythm when waiting in traffic. Old age has brought me a true regard for this music.

Oh No! Not country music! The most country I could ever get was the Eagles. I am a rock fan for many years. I cannot stand country music. It all sounds the same to me, like everyone of them make the same song and change the words around a little.

That is the way I thought for many years, but now I have started listening closely and found some really fun songs, who can't sing along with these, it birghtens you day or mine at least.

Most of them are very depressing songs though. They all sing about their partner leaving them or killing someone or dying. No, it's not for me.

Hi pat, in young age people like modern music. But when getting old test changes. Country or folk music has deep thought. A matured person can go deep of country music.

Yes older people have more life experience. I bet most of us older folks could write the words to a new country song, not the music just the words.

I just can't get into Country. It's so negative. Always singing about lost loves and hurt hearts. But I also no longer like a lot of modern "rock" which has become definitely un-rock. I used to like metal but don't like the screaming and the aggression anymore, although I do like some of the guitar work. I stick mostly to jazz these days. Melodic, pleasant vocals, and soulful. But mostly the old stuff pre-1960.

Country songs ? Can you give me a sample of a country song? I guess , some of Kenny Roger's songs are country songs. Aren't they?

It depends, in my case. I listen to various genres of music, and when I get to the mood of listening to country music, I find the right playlist and then enjoy the ride. I like listening to country music only during long travels, especially when I'm off to provinces and stuff.

Music has always been part of my life. I love instrumental music and listen to the beautiful soothing sound of the piano while I do my household chores everyday. It kind of release any problems that is bothering my thinking mind.

Country music has been ruined by the Taylor Swifts of the world. I hate modern country. I do like some of the old country songs. I'm not sure kids today would enjoy it. Age does change a persons taste though. I agree on that.

I love country music! Especailly alot of today's country music! You can understand the lyics! It is about life, love, heartache and so many other things! It makes me cry, laugh, think, get upset, gets my toes a tappin' and sometimes make me feel better when I am down! this is why I love country music! I do not alot today's music! Like Katy,Perry,Lady Gaga,Hinder,Nickelback,Britny Spear,Christine Agularia,JLO and so many more! I just don't like today's music and artists!

I love country music. The words tell a story and it can be either sad or happy. I love all types of music except for rap. I just can't wrap my brain around that type of music. Many times you can't even understand what they are saying. That is why I love Country because you can understand the words and there is usually a story to it. Glad you like Country music in your old age.

I try not to dissuade any type of music from being listened to. if i like a particular piece of music i will listen to it. the genre doesn't matter if the musical experience is good.

I love music all the time. I love listening to different kind of music but not all the country song. Some I do listen sometimes only. But there are a few that I am familiar with the lyrics and will be able to sing along.

I always love country music, that's one of my favorite genre aside from slow rock once in a while. It's very soothing to listen to the lyrics and the tune plus its meaning behind the song. it makes me cry sometimes. the message it conveys is just so real that you can relate into it.
