What has made you happy today...?

Please share some happy moments of the day with me... I'm in London and there's much talk of riots and bankrupt currency.... not such a beautiful day.

I am so sorry that You are all having these problems. I spent time in your country in the 70s. I would hate to see damage being done to it...
This morning I walked out to the little lake behind our apts. The sun was only just up. It was still a bit cool for an august morning in FL. The eastern sky was brilliant while the west was yellow tinged clouds. Turtles had their noses and heads out of the water greeting the morning sun, happy for a new day. Our friendly black racer slithered by (it was the little one).
As I walked back up to the Apt. to wake up my African Grey Parrot (she likes to sleep late, doesn't know she is a bird), a young Hawk flew over. Maybe the Parrot is smarter than I give her credit for. I always take her out when she gets up. The Hawk would think she was snack food

Wow, lovely... I can see how that sort of peace and beauty can make you happy! FL, is that Florida? Sounds like an amazing place to live, hope that one day I can see it too!

Yes, FL is Florida. I am from central Florida. I left to do other things like go into the Navy etc., but I am back now to finish out my life. Where I live now was empty swampland when I was a kid. It still floods out a bit when it rains hard. When I was young there were so many jokes about land for sale in FL. and then when you got there it was swampland full of gators...

Sounds great! Although swamps usually have mosquittoes, right? But I guess with gators around, who cares! =P
But yea, glad to hear you're back from the navy, you can enjoy FL now and relax abit. Unless it floods that is. Hehe =)

My French teacher told me that I look pretty.:O I believe that happiness is a choice; you can choose to be happy regardless of the circumstances in your life, etc. Hope the situation in your country is under control. GBP has always been a strong currency, isn't it? Anyway, have a nice day!:)

Yea, the country will be fine! It's just sad to see how people can do things like looting, for all I know some of those people may be friends of friends... or even relatives. And they act like that. Just normal people until they have an excuse to be violent....
But yea, congrats on being pretty! =D
French is a very lovely sounding language, I can see how that compliment can make you happy. =)

My son made me happy today, actually he never fails to make me happy every day. He is only three months old. He is the cutest thing that was given to me by God. Just a smile from him takes all my worries away. Financially we are not doing so well, we can hardly save something but still I am looking at the brighter side. I know in time we will be able to get through this trying time.

Three months old, wow! Must be very cute! I always thought that babies would be much hassle, with crying through the night, etc. But from your reply it sounds as though all the hassle is still small compared to the joy he brings. I wish you all the best of luck with finances, I'm sure that you can get through it!

don't matter how bad things are when night fall and my kids are asleep I feel happy.
Just watching at them I feel extremely lucky and happy.
I hear music and feel comforted.
I'm alive. They're alive. We're together and that's happiness for me.

Wow, lovely to hear! I hope I can be that loving a parent some day too. Will try my best! =)
I think I feel like that too at times, but not for kids obviously. Instead for my girlfriend, when she has had a tough day.

Hmm what has made me happy today, well that could be a combination of things. Seeing all of my friends and family today has made me very happy. I couldn't be happier to home with them. It hasn't happened yet, but my boyfriend comes home today after a guy's weekend with his friends, I miss him ALOT and I get to have dinner with my best friend in a few hours. So those things have made me super happy.
