When I am with my nieces and nephews and their friends I notice they can get extrememly excited when they are having lots of fun. We took them to a kids fun place once and they would squeal with joy on the ride. I have seen them get like this other times and even had to pull them up from squealing too loud in case someone things they are squealing for the wrong reasons. I hardly/if ever see adults get like this unless they are drinking. Do you think you still get as joyful as a child does without any alcohol? Do other adults you know get like this? I wonder if people are more naturally ecstatic in countries where they don't drink alcohol? Or is it simply growing up and being an adult that stops us feeling like this?

It is important to keep the mind young. It does not amount to experiencing joy like child. The joy a child experiences is unworldly in nature. Hence the joy is something unearthly in nature.

Adults can still display the thrill and ecstasy if they keep the mind child-like. It is the mind that is the cause for all bondage in the world.

It is true that everything is new to a child, so that would explain some of their reactions. But some things, like going on a ride they may have gone on before can still cause an ecstatic reaction that adults might not display going on exciting rides.

hi:) I always feel the same way when I'm playing with my niece and her friends, usually every Saturday they visit us here in our house and we play, hide and seek and make believes, like I am the teacher and they are my student, and it was fun, their laugh is amazing like its affecting me, I feel I'm back to being a child every time I'm with them

Yes we are lucky we can "borrow" our nieces sometimes, it is funny to think if we babysit sometimes that we are also getting a benefit from it. My niece that lives near me has such a lovely nature that she is often a joy to be around (except when she is very tired or a little upset).

I have to admit that I do experience joy like a child. It may not happen all the time, or everyday, but I will experience it from time to time. It does still happen on a fairly regular basis.

That sounds nice. Sometimes I try and remember to enjoy the basic things around me, when I walk along a path beside the beach I try and remember how beatiful it can be around me. It's funny how you don't appreciate things that you experience a lot uness you make an effort to do so.

That must be why a lot of parents still look young - because they are busy having fun with their children when they finish all their hard work. You sound like a very good parent!

Well I can still feel the happiness just like when I was a child but not as same as when I am a kid. Maybe because of my age that I am aware of what is happening around me. I am aware of the problems that I am facing. Compared when I am only a child, I only think of myself as if everything is okay. Honestly, I wish to be a kid again. No worries, no problems, everything is fine. But definitely I can't. Even though I have lots of problems, lots of responsibilities, I don't take that negatively since I know that problem is always part of life. You cannot call yourself as a matured person if you don't face problems.

Oh I still do especially when I am with my children. Sometimes I can be more of a child than them. There are times they would tell me "mom you are already a mother and not a baby." When I am with them playing I can really laugh and squeak and just have fun like a child. I don't want to grow from this stage to be honest. .

Truly saying it's no. I long to go back to my child hood. But i know it is not possible. I always like to the childishness in my heart. I very much like watching children playing themselves with others.Child hood is really a missing thing to me nowadays.

Very often now a days I experience joy like a little child. There are many things I wanted to do when I was a child, that I couldn't do for certain reasons. Now as a middleaged lady I do activities as most children do now a days. I go horse back riding with children and adults. When I do well or have a visible improvement I am joyful as a little girl. I try to do and experience what I missed as a little child as an adult.
