Don't you hate it when people drive and talk/text on the phone?

I hate it when people do that. I never text or talk on my phone. I wait, or if people keep on texting or calling me I stop like at a near by store and text them or call them back. Do you hate this too?

I have to say that I really hate as well. Let's face it, it's not safe. It can put other people's lives in danger, as well as that of the driver. It's a fact that most people know, or at least should know and be aware of.

Yeah and when I see people talking on the phone, I just don't get why they just don't put it on speaker.

I do dislike it very much because they are putting themselves as well as others at risk. Sad part is that each time someone makes a mistake driving while using their cell phone they have the nerve to look at the other as if it were the other persons fault. I can't see anything that much of an emergency that one can't pull over to answer and or call them back when not driving. The world did not have phones in the past so not sure why it is so urgent to be so attached this way. It happens here all the time.

well the only reason I stop or pull over is because I'm looking for a job and the company's may call me when I'm driving, so I really don't wanna miss their calls.

I would hate it if they are the one who does the calling and texting in the first place while driving in a vehicle. If someone is calling on the driver's phone and looks like an emergency type of call, I don't see that as a problem. But the thing is, texting or calling while driving at the same time would be a liability to vehicular accidents!

Yes, I often see many people doing that. Yeah, I certainly don't like that. That is very dangerous, while driving a car. Dangerous for the person and for other cars on the road nearby. For me, I never do that. What you are doing is the right way, indeed.

If it was only dangerous to them, I would not care, but they can hurt other innocent persons by doing this.

I do not hate those people. I just feel sorry for them. I think it is best to pray for them, because no one knows when one of them is going to be responsible for an accident.

Hi bluegemini10, Im the same as you and im sure many of us hate to see when people talking or texting while driving. the people who drive and use cellphone at the same time is not only endanger him/herself but other people as well. I dont want to put other people in endanger so I will ignore the phone call and if it was an emergency call (the caller called more than 3times) then I would stop to respond to the call. Think about it, we are not the only person on the road what if our mind distracted from the call while driving and crash another person. Many countries has law to charge people who use mobile phone while driving with a big fine, but I hope people stop talk/text while driving because they realize using cellphone while driving is dangerous for them and for other people, and not because they are afraid of police.

Using the cell phone while driving puts lives in jeopardy and that does not exclude the driver's. When my phone rings, I don't answer. There's voice mail, plus I use different ring tones for different groups of people or a special ring tone for someone special. When I get to my destination, I'd return the missed call/calls. Someone asked me, "What if it's an emergency?" My reply, "Is there anything I can do in the middle of the freeway?" Before people can drive, they should be given a test for mental maturity. Before a driver license is is renewed, each driver must take both written and actual driving tests to see if they are still capable of safe driving. God be with you on the road and elsewhere, my fellow gemini(I suppose you are)and fellow mylotter, bluegemini!

I hate this situation too. I think that people are not aware of the dangerous that they can cause by doing this, specially when they text messages on the phone when they are driving. They only will learn when an accidents happens to them.
