Hi everyone. I am really excited as i learned that i'm 10 weeks pregnant. I need to know some thing that some might already know. I kept on looking online but i have not found any answer. I am experiencing pain on my buttocks when i am standing for a long time, that is around ten minutes or more. The pain becomes more extreme when i lie on my left side to rest to try ease the pain.. If anyone has experienced this before in their pregnancy, kindly enlighten me. Is this something i need to consult to my ob or should i just have to wait for my next appoint ment which is 2 weeks after? Thank you for your help.

Congratulations! being a mother is pricelss once you see the face of your baby everything will change. I am a mother of a 2 y/o kid though she's so active I love her to bits. as per your pain I think it's natural but too early for hips pain. when your pregnant we have this nerve on our left side of the body that easily gets hurt because somehow the baby or I dont know specifically the nerve is being compress by the baby or the muscle. lying in your left side is not advisable but if you fell terrible pain I think it's better to check with your OB. Goodlukc to your journey to motherhood ^_^

hello ezbusiness! i'm happy to know you are happy and having a child. but then i have no experiencing of being pregnant, i have friends who have been pregnant but then they seem like this issue they didn't experience. don't you have number of your obgyne to ask her then to clarify things? i guess there's nothing wrong in asking her.

Congratulations! I'm a mother of a three months old baby boy, he is the best and the cutest thing that came to my life. I've experienced pain in my lower back when I was pregnant but I was in the last trimester of my pregnancy that time. I must say go to your OB. Don't wait for your check up schedule if you feel pain. Better not take any risk since the first trimester is the most crucial. Goodluck to you on your pregnancy. Take care of your health and your baby. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables.

yes, brew2x is right! you should not wait for the next appointment if you felt pain. consult your obgyne for you to be sure what's happening to you and for your baby to be safe as well.

Congratulations! I am also a soon to be mommy. But I haven't experience such pain in the buttock area at that early week. Since you said you were standing for ten minutes, then probably you just needed to rest and walk around so that you won't stress out your weight on your buttock. When you sit, be sure to move also so that you don't get that muscle strained for too long. I am on my 27th week, pretty heavy so I need to move from side to side whenever I sleep and whenever I sit down, I move from side to side or stand a bit so that blood can circulate also. Be sure to visit your OB and tell her about it. Don't wait for another appointment, you may send her a text message or call her office about your worry.

congratulations!!! About the pain you're experiencing, you should contact your ob about it. When my wife was preggy and she experience some pain like your, her ob said the baby is weak. So she was given some vitamins. Fortunately, our baby came out healthy. Good luck with you!!!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!! I'm the mom of 5 kids...and pain in pregnancy is pretty normal. At least for many of us LOL... Pain in your bottom is very very common! But DO tell your OB of ANY pains you get. That way a notation can be made and should they get worse your OB will all ready know how long you've dealt with it and what to recommend to ease it for you. A really good site to check out for pregnancy information is : www.babyzone.com Just know that during pregnancy your body is going to go through a LOT of changes. Just keep track of new changes or concerns and take your list with you to each appointment. A really really GREAT book to have on hand is: What to Expecting When Expecting It has just about EVERY thing you can ask in it including great advice for fathers too. Again, if your pain increases, or you experience numbness or loss of feeling in your legs contact your doctor immediately. Don't worry about being too worried...or bothering your doctor either. Chances are your doctor has heard it ALL before. And ALL obs understand that new Moms are nervous and worry too... :D I wish you all the best and the joy in your becoming a new Mommy! Keep us posted! :D

That is wonderful that you are expecting a baby! I'm happy for you. I don't know anything about pain during pregnancy, but I know there is a bestseller What to Expect When You're Expecting that is said to be a "must" book for women who are pregnant or even husbands who want to help.

Congratulations on the news that you are 10 weeks pregnant. If I was in your situation I would phone a doctor or a midwife. I could easily do that by asking a receptionist at my local surgery or phoning the birthing unit at my nearest hospital. Various pain happens in early pregnancy. I think to set your mid at rest you should check with a professional medical person. In pregnancy a lady should try to feel happy and relaxed. So that is why I mention asking someone that knows why this pain is happening. Good luck and I hope that you have your mind put at rest and enjoy a healthy pregnancy.

Pregnant and happy - Happy Pregnancy
Congratulations! You are on the most wonderful stage of a woman's life. I wish you healthy and happy pregnancy! But wait, that pain you should not take that for granted. Anything painful in your lower extremities should be consulted to your doctor. It could have something to do with your pregnancy. We can't just guess what that pain is all about. You OB-gyne is the only person who can tell you exactly what is this pain all about. Go and see the doctor dear.

Congratulation! I may not be the best one commenting on this since I've not been a mother yet but I have friends who have. Body aches is pretty typical when your pregnant. We were actually afraid to hug or touch our friend who was pregnant before because it looked like she is in pain all over. If the pain becomes unbearable then I think you should call your ob. There's really no harm on calling. Good Luck and congratulations!

wow, i know the feeling of a mom to be because i have experienced that myself. But i haven't experienced having any pains until i gave birth. However, since this is your first time to be a mother, it will be helpful if you consult your OB about it. Usually, on the first trimester of a pregnant woman, she should be very careful. Any pains should be consulted outright to the OB. So, save yourself and go to an OB. It pays to be sure.

I'm happy for you! I know how it feels to be a future mom! May I suggest you go to your OB at once and have you checked. You shouldn't compromise your health as you have a baby with you now. If you're unhealthy, your baby might be unhealthy as well. Don't just listen to he said, she said, you need an exact knowledge on what you are feeling and what to do with it to get rid of it,only your OB can tell. Welcome here!
