getting the hang of it..

August 16, 2011 8:23am CST
well i am very very proud of myself! i started off in mylot not really knowing what to do, and what the whole thing was about, do i reply to any discussion? or just my friends? and do i just write my answer, or do i have to go into detail? can i write about anything? or is it certain topics? whats restricted, whats not, and how do i make money? well i am proud to say, that not only have i finally got the hang of the whole lot, and know exactly what i am doing, i've also been able to avoid discussions that i know will be deleted, and therefore not waste my time responding to them, only to have my mylot number, and my earnings, deducted for it. i've reached my first minimum payout amount and i am over halfway toward my second payout amount! and all that within the space of 3 months.. it may seem like a long time, but i don't access the internet in the evenings or at the weekend, so i've just been doing this during working hours when i haven't had much to do. and i can safely say, i think i'll be around here for a long time. did it take you long to get the hang of it? and are you glad you stuck it out?

When i first joined mylot, i didn't read the guidelines too but for three or four months of being a newbie i have never experienced my responses or discussions deleted. Maybe it's because i chose only interesting topics from people who knows really how to make proper discussions. I didn't pay attention to the stars as i don't know their significance and i never asked it on my discussions but came upon it in one of the discussions. So practically i learned the guidelines only through reading the discussions and not from the mylot faq's itself.

That's why i said in one of my discussions that reading is quite important, not only of the facts but the discussions also. Most of the veterans here would usually start a discussion to help those newbies and they clarify the guidelines through that discussion. Reading is the best strategy to survive in mylot community.

Hi toni Although I did read the guidelines, I still couldn't understand some of it, but I managed to learn along the way through many discussions which was posted. I am so amazed at how helpful some myLotters are in providing guidance to newcomers.

I knew you would take to mylot like a duck to water Glad you are enjoying it and the payout is a bonus. I have not had much time on here as late and still have a lot to reply to. I still haven't forgotten about the list of horror films for you, just keep an eyes on that discussion

Don't worry, thezone. You are not alone. I too have a lot of discussions that I have yet to respond to, and the new ones keep coming in and time is so limited for me.

Good for you. Nice to see you've done really well so far. Keep up the good work. I've been here a long time, when I first join the site looked a bit different, I got used to it quickly. Then it started to make upgrades and change things. Then I had to get use to that, but it didn't take long.. All the best in the future with Mylot.

Wait till I tell your Boss what you have been doing in the office. No, it didn't take me long to get the hang of it. But I wasn't so active at first when I started joining as I don't have much time to spend online. Even till now, my time is limited on myLot but I try to be active here whenever I can. And I'm sure glad that I am still here enjoying myself.

LOL, that's true. The most important thing is to do the things we like to do and to enjoy ourselves while doing it.

Honestly it didn't took me that long to get a hang of myLot. It's super easy to get around. I only need to have more time to post and run through various discussions. Lol! I'm almost halfway on my first payout and I really hope I can reach it before this month ends :D Same here. I'll definitely stay for quite some time here at myLot :D

i would suggest adding friends, and then commenting on all their discussions that you get emailed to you. it works for me :)

You are just an earning Beast!!! You are a great multi-tasker to be able to do all those things in the course of just one day. I'm glad you learned not to post to discusssions that will be deleted maybe one day I'll figure that one out ,too. Or maybe I should stop posting discussions that will be deleted. I think it's really hurting my rating.

and i dont't think it has hurt your rating.. beause no one can rate you on a post thats been deleted! i was talking about you on one of toniganzon's latest dicussions :)
