Corruption on the whole is an issue which is prevalent in every country but when it comes to India, corruption is a major issue. According to the latest survey India was ranked the country with high percentage of individuals indulging in corruption. Now the scenario is that many people have stood against this and it is now a national movement to fight against this problem. A lokpal bill has been drafted by the civil society and another by the government bureaucrats. Now the main leader is arrested for the mass movement as the government bill lacks the key features that must be in an anti corruption bill and hence the government bill will make the problem worse. I was viewpoints of all individuals who have knowledge on this issue and let us discus s the key pints of the bill drafted by both the govt and civil society.... And on the corrent update on this movement...

I think this movement is long overdue. The people of India have really been frustrated with the rampant corruption which is like a cancer in our society. It is high time people raised their voices and in Anna they have found a figurehead to raise their voices. But the Govt. is still very insenstive and has not agreed to any of the demands thus far. Let's see how long this drama pans out. Cheers! Ram

First let all peoples living standard should be changed, and let everyone get his work and food, shelter the we can think of corruption. if we eradicate corruption fully ( that is really a dream of certain people) what about our people who could not get one time bread.

Well i guess that the impact of the movement against corruption is great on the government and this is their top priority now. Also i feel that even if we are not able to implement a law withing few months we must keep the fire for reform against corruption in us so as to remind the govt from time to time to do what they are elected for.

Friend i don't think this lokpal bill will eliminate the corruption from india about 65% as anna said because the main reason after lokpal bill get passed will it implement it successful, there is various genuine/healthy law exists in our constitution but due to failure of successful execution it become useless this will happen in the lokpal bill also if this bill get passed in parliament. What we need a ignition of honesty/sincerity in each and every people of our country then automatically we will get rid of corruption and our country will move to a bright future.

I think this is passed as we protest for the bill. The act should be both from the top to bottom approach by the bill and bottom to top approach against corruption by awareness among the citizens. With a successful law many things will be under. At least the vigilance department will be strengthen and moreover It will create new jobs as this is a new department and will need recruiting.
