Eating Monkey's Brain

My uncle once told me that in some countries, people eat monkey's brain. No, this is not a surprise, but the way they eat it, is a surprise. Monkey is thrown alive in the heated oven, when monkey is half fainted with the heat , it is taken out of oven and then its head is fixed in a stand, the stand is in center part of a round table.
So, the scene is that people sit across round table, with head in the center of the table, note that only head is visible from top of the table, and the monkey is alive, other half of monkey's body is under the table.
The waiter, with hammer, breaks the head and people eat the brain with in the skull, and the condition is that the monkey should be alive through out their meal, if while eating the monkey dies, people can sue the restaurant.
It was hard for me to believe, but i saw one documentary couple of weeks back, in which i happen to see the same scenario, people eating monkey's brain in the same way.
Has any one encounter any restaurant offering such meal??

Out of all the things that we as humans eat, I think that has to be the most immoral, disrespectful thing ever. I'd have been disgusted and left the restaurant if I were to ever go to one where such a thing was served. Not to mention that I'd be disgusted by watching others eat it.
The animals suffering... it's so sad.

Ohhhh myyyy goshhhhh. Have we turned into barbarians, is this going to basics again?But we are not barbarians anymore, we have become civilized and taught how to treat people and animals the way they should be.Animals have feelings too, they feel pain and they were not created so that people will use them to express how wild and cruel they are as humans.I feel like throwing up after reading this.

Is that nightmare on elm street or some sort of a disaster movie, oh my goodness 
, I feel sick imagining what you said about a restaurant that offers such.
Don't they know that any part of animal brains when humans do eat it, it is really rich in cholesterol and that will definitely sour high a person's blood leading to hypertension or high blood and then next is heart attack.
There are so many delicious foods I can attend to eat, but surely I will never eat such animal brains because it is not good for the health and besides, of all animals, monkey is not on my menu

lolz, yes so many delicious food out there, but still they need live animal's brain, believe me when i was seeing the documentary and this scene came, i was having my dinner at that time, I only know, how i controlled my self from vomiting, i left my food immediately.
There are still many insane people.

Well I have Watched its video once one of my friend have shown it to me, i guess in my college time, its now 5 years.. And man i tell u it was disguesting.. Well waht i have sawn wass very disgusting, as thier were three persons and all have small hamers and was trying to break the monkeys skull. And the monkey was aimlessly crying... Man it was Awfull..

In my country people give respect to monkeys and treat them as God,this is just disgusting.it is terrible.
.i dont have words for that.they are not human beings they are animals even animals are better.

I have heard of eating cooked monkey brains before,this is the first time I've heard of the brain being eaten whilst the beast is alive. I love eating tasty animals, but that sounds awful! First, there's the cruelty of the practice. Then, how can this be safely served? What if the monkey defecates or pees whilst it's clamped to the table being eaten? I'll pass, thanks.

i've heard of this before. it's completely disgusting, and utterly vile!!
it's like people putting a live lobster into a pot of boiling water, so that it is still alive and writhing in agony from being boiled alive, instead of humainly killing it KIRST, then boiling it.
sometimes i am appalled at the human race, in some cultures we end up as nothing more than cannibals!

Its disgusting to know. Monkey is not recommended for food because they can transfer diseases to humans. Eating brain of the monkey is very disgusting too and offend the animal rights. I have never been in the restaurant that offers like that menu. I don't have the appetite for that. It is just like cannibalism. In my opinion, we should not come to these kind of restaurant.

Lion, tiger, leopard etc eat their prey only after killing the prey. [the lower animals i.e. jackal, fox, etc will eat their prey without killing it]
We are human beings, we have got one sense extra i.e. sixth sense to realize the sufferings of other living beings. Not only that we have been taught by religion that we must be merciful towards others. Eating the brain of the living monkeys and then going to temple, church, masque etc is totally waste. If the brain eaters enter into the temple, church etc, the God will run away from such place. Brainless and heartless creatures alone will eat the brain of the living monkeys. From time immemorial, the human beings have proved that they are the most cruel being ever existed on earth. In those days the Romans put live human beings to be eaten by hungry lions. I am very much ashamed to be a human being.

Agh, poor monkey! How could people want a food that had to be so cruelly prepared? It makes me sick. How would people feel if they were eaten alive? That's just brutal. I'm not into exotic food so I don't I will ever eat a monkey's brain. It would be less brutal if it were cooked and eaten but the monkey is not there to bear the pain.
I've never seen that kind of thing done in any restaurants here, and i never plan to see such cruelty done to an animal. I think i saw that one in one of Indiana Jones's movie.

Well, the kindest thing I can say about these people is they should all be sterilized. I mean I thought you had to be slightly heartless to be a hunter, but this one takes the cake. I actually have heard about people eating monkey brains, but was never sure it was true. I'm glad to have never seen that.

The owner of the restaurant and the people who order the monkey as meal are really very brutal, they should be sentenced to prison as punishment, they deserve it. I hate such people!

People eat monkey's brain here, to ( I read and hear, never see ). However, they only eat monkey's brain which was cooked. What you descried here too brutal!

Since i don't live in that country then i'm free to say that it's the most disgusting thing i've ever heard! Good thing we don't have that kind of meal in here. I feel like puking just imagining the situation though i've heard about it long time ago from older people, but i never really know the details.

That is the most disgusting and awful thing I have ever read. That should be forbidden. We don't need to prolong suffering of this animal. And the people who order it should be in jail in the one cell with the owner of the restaurant. It's just immoral! I hope that someone with change the law and such practice will be forbidden.

I'm not aware of any restaurant offering a similar meal. That really is cruel for the monkey poor animal. I heard of a restaurant in my home town got done for serving dog stew saying it was lamb, another take-away in the north of England serving chicken but it was rat and another cafe serving minted frog - only they didn't say it was frog they said it was lamb or pork or something. The dogs, rats and frogs were in the locality and didn't involve going to a shop or a farmer - and got the places a health and safety slap or got them closed down.
