DEJA-VU - have you experienced this?

early this morning, my mom and I are talking about what happened to the party she had attended yesterday. ( She was invited on our neighbors birthday party ) Were in the middle of what we are discussing when suddenly I need to pause because I am thinking that what is currently happening that very moment was already happened in the past that I can't remember when. My mom asked me what's wrong since she noticed that I am thinking of something. I told her about it and she told me that it was a Deja-vu. Deja-vu means an experience of feeling sure that one has already witnessed or experienced a current situation. How about you? have you experience the same as what I experienced?

Me too, I have experienced Deja vu many times. It is like you already lived what happens in the present. It feels strange, but somehow funny. I read that it is anything unnatural, it seems it is some short-circuit that happens in our brain. I'll search again for this topic to see exactly what happens when we feel this way.

It is really a strange feeling when you experience it. But I love the feeling.

Hello Eynjel_1988, Yes. I have experienced it not only once but almost countless of times. I don't know about it exactly but there are several times that I experience being in a place and doing certain activities like I have been there in the past. I have even met some people whom I felt like I met them before. It's a weird feeling but every time this situation comes, I would count it as a dream. That maybe I have dreamed of the event.

You can't really tell when it will happen. And when it comes you'll just noticed that particular event had already happened sometime in the past. thank you for the response. :-p

Yes I have experienced it quiet a few times. I was told that it is your brain giving you a false sensation and it's actually your brain relapsing.... What ever it is it's a very strange feeling in deed... I had it happen as I was about to land in a areoplane. That's when my friends said it was a brain relapse. But I could tell her what was coming up next, it was really weird. It was like I had dreamt about it and it was then happening.... It really is facinating..

It is a weird feeling but I enjoyed it. It is like I already lived in the past. I just can't forget that feeling.

Yes, I get this feeling all the time. Isn't it such a strange experience? No one is really sure what exactly causes it, but it is an eerie feeling when it happens, especially when you know that this exact thing can't possibly have happened before!

deja-vu ( from french: deja=already vu=seen) is one of the most mysterious things in our life. i experience this phenomene, at least, one time a month and i always wonder if the event which is, apparently, repeated has really happened in the past or something cause me to imagine that it happened.when it happens i am never sure what it is. i just see a familiar picture in my mind or a familiar saying that i think i heard exactly in a specific place or context... it is very unclear....

hi:) I’m having the most intense deja vu before.it's when my friend took me to her aunt house, I never been there before I never seen her aunt before that, but I have this feeling that I already saw that place and heard whats her aunt told her, feels weird actually, so when I told it to my friend she said that it sometimes happened to her too.

There is one experience that I especially remember. It took place several years ago when I was still in elementary school. In order to learn more about the different kinds of work we had to follow an adult for one week. We had to watch the way that they worked and participate in their daily activities. One of my brother's friends had a mother who worked as a day care mother, I asked her if I would be able to follow her work for one week and she agreed. She had an indoor playground for the children and one day while I was there, I had a very strong feeling of deja vu. I felt that I had seen the surroundings before and heard the conversation before. The feeling was so strong that it made me wonder if I had really been there before but forgotten all about it. On the other hand I knew that I had never been there before.
