I am amazed at this user who never comments on the responses received and the topics posted are countless is number so to say. Every topic that is posted is filled with responses but the user never comes back and comments. Even then users eagerly respond to all the topics created. And this has been going on for months. Your views please.

It is not uncommon for a newbie to ignore the responses they get. But you say this is an older myLotter. I think I know such myLotter that seldom comments back the responses she gets. But I am not sure it is the same user, as you said "your" user never comments back. I don't know why would anybody do this, unless they don't read other topics where everybody says that commenting back is what earns the most here. I liked your new avatar until it showed the blue and purple apple. Can't you make it stop at the red/green combination?

We have an apple available in our stores that tastes a lot like grapes. It is very refreshing. I do not know if it a cross, or if it just happens to taste that way.

First things first inu - This is the age of genetic engineering and the apple that you see here has a touch of the blue berry in it!When blue and red mix they show a purple hue.You better get used to it Coming to my topic, I am not supposed to reveal the user id, but it would be interesting to know what goes on in the minds of such users. This user seems a very intelligent person.

There's actually a lot of them here but I see that you're referring to just a particular user. I'm not sure but maybe it's their own way of doing things in here which is not advisable. It's disappointing sometimes because you would expect a response for the reason that you're very much interested with the topic.

163Mandolingirl: I see that it could be even more disappointing when the response you get isn't good. There were responses that isn't actually contributing to the discussion topic. But most of the time I understand that not many people here do not use English as their native language or there are users here that isn't that well spoken with English. Some actually are just practicing with their English but I'm glad at least that they're trying. allknowing: I don't understand why you continually search for topics posted by this user if you know that you'll most likely won't get a reply? Have you tried sending that user a PM to let him know?

I look forward to seeing how people respond to the many and varied topics discussed here. I'm too am very disappointed when the response isn't good.

Hi allknowing, love the new avatar, but it's making my hungry.. Are you friends with this user? If so you can try to PM them and explain simply that whenever they type, which includes responding to those who comment on their posts, they earn and when you type, you earn. Or you can try to put that in their post, but I am thinking they just make the post and don't even bother reading the comments...

I have some friends like that and what I did was I turned off the notification, because I wasn't going to waste my time going to their post. Besides she rarely post anything I am interested in and I still see her occasionally, but not enough to keep up with what is going on with her. As for hunger being a sign of health, thankfully there is a nice green apple on the kitchen table. I am just going to wait until it is closer to lunch and then slice it up and dip it in peanut butter for a yummy treat..

This user is a veteran here and may be even well versed with the rules. I am not able to understand why the user has taken this stand. It would look odd if I were to tell the user that one is expected to post comments!

They're wasting the opportunity, then. Earnings are significantly better if one responds on discussions.

No worry Allknowing, your're doing your part and if that member doesn't do a thing then it his losses! We members ask for few tips, I always closed with "It's important to contributes to discussion (his or others) so earning be increased!

Hello Allknowing, a RESPONSE COLLECTOR eh? that won't be the first and this isn't the first time either to see a response collector. there's a more to them, but of course i usually check them out after a couple of days and still they won't comment on their responses. I don't GO BACK to their discussions if they always like collecting reponses. even with those who have work has time to comment back. It's their problem, though some can be busy off line but if they don't comment back at least after a week or two then they can be classfied as such. for me, no use going back to them often. the question now is are you going to comment on me? Have a nice day

Hi Letran, yep, a response collector is a good way to put it..I just came from a post explaining how we can earn more by responding and discussing topics here because they felt mylot was a waste, probably because they don't understand the concept, "I type, I earn, you type, you earn." I didn't know this either and newbys need to realize this and once they do, they may not be so downhearted about mylot..

This discussion of yours features in 'mylot digest' dated 18.8.2011, Congrats! Even if you like his/her topics and can relate to those topics, if s/he does not give you an feedback, your responses become meaningless because you cannot come to know whether at all your responses were read by him/her or not. I would not like to respond such a user's posts, as I said earlier.

Thanks dpk. I saw it too. Honestly these milestones mean nothing to me anyway. I agree with you although someone here suggested that others could get into these boxes and put their comments but somehow I do not feel comfortable yet to venture into such an activity specially in boxes of responses that belong to topics posted by other users.

Those who do not comment back on their own discussions are losing out, not us. There are several of them recently and rather than be bothered about them, especially if they are older users, why not make the best of their topics, especially if they are interesting? As I said elsewhere, we can go and comment on the responses as though it was opur own topic. We will be earning, enjoying ourselves and having fun where they could have done. It is only their own fault that they didn't.

hi diana its sad to see that they still think all they need do is make a gazillion discussions and get a gazillion responses and sit back and count those earning, imagine their surprise when they just get a few cents for posting each one. yes we might as well go right on and comment on the responses and somehow get those discussions going.so many now have said they will not be responding to these users who do the m any discussions bit. but you make sense as we could still comment on each others comments and be having fun and making some money too.they shall reap what they sowed and it will not be much. then comes "the discussions I posted x discussions and got x responses how come I only got 07 cents. Mylots A SCAm." not at all they did not read any of the information that tells them all about all of mylot. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It is a pity that an experienced mylot member is not commenting back to all her responses. I am not sure which member are you referring to, but in fact there are a few members whose discussions i have responded but never see comment back from the discussion creators. Now, i prefer only to respond to those who likes to comment back. Even myself, trying to spend some time to comment back on each response that i had got for each discussion. I am happy that i had settled some of my 3 years ago discussions recently...But, i am still continue to settle more and more discussions to come soon...

There's a few users like this, isn't it? I'm not around enough to know who you are talking about, but maybe the user is using all his/hers energy to post new topics. Or don't really find anyone else interesting enough to respond to them. I think it's usually easier to answer than come up with a new discussion, so I don't really get it.

I've answered a few threads without getting any response, but I've never really kept track of which user posted it. I can think of one though, first I stopped answering and then I took away the posts from my friends list. If you are only interested in the money and not the discussion, then making new discussions all the time might work as well as responding if you have a lot of ideas. I normally don't have a lot of ideas though, so I don't get it. Plus it's maybe something you'd expect from someone new, first they post a lot posts, don't answer, and then they start a "Why don't I earn any money here?" in the mylot discussion section *hehe*

I can think of several users who fit this description and some have been here for a year or more! It is incredible that these users, who judging from their posts are quite highly educated, have never understood the basic principles of a discussion. One user in particular has been urged to comment many times but doesn't! I would have to assume that he or she doesn't visit the topic again after posting it. People can be very strange!

A few people here make posts that look suspiciously less like their own discussions, and more like content they've copied from somewhere else. One who does that makes posts on highly academic issues - but never responds back. I wonder what their level of intellect is REALLY like?!

I guess, these users like to collect answers but what's the point if you don't comment back. I don't like it when I see users responding to some of the comments while the skip others

I think if you or we know someone or username that doing such think better not to comments or response, even his/her discussions are very attractive. There is no rule, nothing at all, that stops anyone going and commenting on the responses as though it was their own started topic. I have done exactly this earlier today on a topic that had several responses and no-one had come back to comment. Once a topic is posted it is available for one and all.

hi allknowing did you see my last discussion . what I b elieve is ha happening again is someone is falsely telling new comeres that the more responses they get willpay them a lot so make a lot of discussion and thats all y ou need to. wrong wrong wrong, I wish whoever has this wrong idea about mylot would find out the truth WE who make your responses on your discussion get paid. we do the work, we get the pay. I stressed this in my last discussion. you do not receive any pay for the responses your fellow mylotters make as they did the typing and the work, so they get the pay. MYLOTTERS OF ALL AGES LISTEN. aNY RESPONSES YOU GET ON YOUR DISCUSSIONS DO MOT PAY YOU. THE RESPONDERS DID THE WORK SO THEY GET THE PAY. YOU TYPE COMMENTS BACK ON ALL THE RESPONSES YOU RECEIVE,YOU DID THE WORK SO YOU GET THE PAY. So everyone wise up if you type you earn. if we type responses to your discussions we get the pay.My view is that this poster IS BEING INCREDIBLY RUDE AND STUPID AS THE ONLY WAY TO GET GOOD EARNINGS ON YOUR DISCUSSIONS IS TO COMMENT BACK TO ALL THE RESPONSES AS IT PAYS AND ITS COURTEOUS TOO.BESIDES THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE A DISCUSSION A REAL DISCUSSION IS BY RESPONDING BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN USERS.

Oh dear, I think this is the one topic where most of the people have much talked about. As a best remedy, I finally decided to 'NOT' to attend any of her topics, even if they are too tempting to discuss. This person had the habit of come with 20-25 discussions in a day and even if we comment on her discussion, she ever respond with a single word. Simply I stopped to comment to her topics and I even now see many discussion every day and I ignores and not even spend time to read also. This is the way to react to such people. Thank-s

sometimes, for whatever reason, people just don't like feedback. maybe if when they were young all the feedback they got was bad. but then on the otherhand it could be another reason. i have noticed there are some people who just don't respond to comments on their discussions, but i think that if the discussion is something i find interesting i make a comment anyway. and sometimes i get a response from someone else, which is nice. but, after all, you still get paid for your comment, and for all you know other people may well have read and enjoyed it. after all i read a lot more discussions than i reply to, and have enjoyed them. just think of the unknown reader who enjoyed what you said!

You have a point there francesaca. Yes. The subject on which topics are created is very interesting and users do benefit by the responses received but what about wanting to know if the post creator has read the responses as there is no indication anywhere. topics are meant to be converted to discussions and if the user does not get back it stays as a topic and nothing more.
17 Aug 11
i agree that i would rather post a comment on a discussion where the person who started it replies, as it makes using mylot far more enjoyable. i just think that we all have limitations on what we can do, and some people don't interact socially as well as others, but sometimes i just see a discussion i want to comment on, even though i know the person who started it won't reply.
