Well, you have better believe it as history was made and a new record set. Brett Sinclair(27), a name you may want to remember - was fishing in the Dampier Classic off Western Australia, when his unexpected catch actually took his bait on a fishing line with a breaking strength of only 13 pounds and his 19 feet long boat. His catch - a walloping 575-pound Tiger Shark! It is clear that this angler wasn't expecting anything of this humongous size but what can you say about luck or miracle or whatever you want to call it. Anyway, their hours of man effort actually paid off and being the master of nature, the shark still had to succumb and admit defeat, as it submit itself to being towed back to shore. I believe the record at International Game Fish Assn. (IGFA) will be standing for quite some time and Brett Sinclair will definitely be associated with it. And I thought skate fishing was difficult! What a story to tell his friends - will anyone believe him?

All i can say is WOW and i know he didnt bring that in himself because i know myself fishing is hard and bringing in a fish isnt easy at all. There would have been a half dozen people helping him bring in that fish and i hope he lets them in on the record with him but i can say congratulations and good luck putting that huge fish somewhere. I have seen sharks upclose and its scary and i dont know what i would do if i caught one but i hope it was a struggle for them because it would have been no fun without a struggle. I hope they all keep fishing and bringing in more than they know what to do with LOL.

I have heard that shark steak is a very good eating. My biggest ever was a 64 lb Spoonbill cat from the Missouri River drainage.
