uhmmm...i think i am kind of sick with all the revolution kind of movies. planet of the apes -revolution of the apes? transformers - revolution of the robots? x-men - revolution of the mutants? well, the movies are really good. good actors and actresses. good graphics, etc, but they all seem to have same concept.

Yeah, those are another kind of movies, or kind of fictions. Some people do like watching those kinds of movies. They get very excited. I used to watch them too before. But, these days, I prefer watching more relaxing kinds of movies, comedies, musicals, travels, and so on.

Give me a comedy or musical any day to lighten the mood! The trouble is that some of the so-called comedies are so gross now. They seem to have been written by and for 15-year-old boys! I'd rather watch one of the old 'Silents'. At least they were genuinely funny and very inventive.

i seldom watch movies in theaters, but i love watching movies. one reason i stopped watching in theaters is the price of movie tickets. so for my kids to see great movies i know they will also enjoy, like the transformers which you said, is a revolution of the robots, i wait for it to be available in the market, the cd release. what i like about revolution is, i get my kids see what their parents saw. i mean, the old movies could not be easily available in the market now. and when an old movie has its revolution today, at least our kids will see and watch what we have watched in the past. and it's kind of a nostalgia for the oldies.

i agree. some cinemas just overdo it. it's no longer that nice

For me it is not just the expense of the cinemas now but the ear-blasting Dolby Surround Sound that puts me off. I feel quite sickened by it because I am so sensitive to sound. The modern swinging camera-work doesn't help much either. I nearly threw up during 'Jurassic Park 3', being shown the dinos running through the fields from 3 different angles!

For me, as long as the plot is engaging, the actors are good and the effects are superb, I'd watch it. I never get tired of a movie with a good storyline even if it is about revolution. As long as it is entertaining, it is worth the watch.

You're right! The story is more important than anything else. If the storyline could have been written on a toenail clipping then it isn't worth making into a film. Unfortunately with some, it is!
