This may lean more towards mothers but anyone that is willing to give some advice is great regardless ... lol! My 10 year old daughter is now at that age in life when she is growing all her female parts and I am sure it is something that all of us with young daughters fear the most. Recently she has been getting alot of cramping and I am thinking that maybe it is her friendly monthly visitor approaching. Is it common for a 10 year old to go through this at this rare age or do you think she still has sometime. I was 12 and I am pretty sure I was later than most of my friends. What's the best way to deal with a 10 year old P.M ser lol is there any advice that any one is willing to give a mother of a new pre teen

I'm lucky that I have both girls. When I gave my oldest (15) now, my youngest (9) now, listened to me talking to her sister. My oldest was also 12 when her lil friend came a calling, same as me. I pray it's the same with my youngest, because in my opinion that's to young. I have no control over it, but I like for her to remain a lil girl for a little longer. I wish I could offer some advice, only thing I told mine that when that time comes, and that it will come. That all the wonderful stuff that comes with it, only lasts about 5-7 days. Also best time to do it is when it's happening to you at that very moment. It saved me a lot of time and trouble. Hope that helps some.

I started my period at that age. Not only did my mother tell me what was going on, but we had health education classes at school too.

That seems so young I guess maybe I am just in denial ... lol. My girl is growing up and it is time for alot of things to change I am thankful that she is in general a terrific girl. I fear it when the day comes that my 6 year old hits this age now she is a totally different story all together ... lol. God love her he certainly knows that I do I love them all dearly. I do in fact talk to her though and explain what is going on the best that I can
