Mylot Super Cool Suggestion!

Hello guys,
I am a very old member of Mylot. Used to sit here on Mylot and blog about things and read things all day and night long.I used to open my E Mail in another TAB and wait for all the response mails which used to come in my Inbox. Is used to sit and reply almost all of them . But then all that was in the past.
Now days, I mean I would really love to sit and work on Mylot and Talk about things and life the entire Day n Night , BUT , i really am very lazy to open my email and wait for a response mail. Then i would click on the mail and then i would click on the link and then come to mylot and sign in again and then reply the mail.
So, Why doesn't Mylot have a Notification system, just the way its in Facebook . Every time we get a reply in one of our discussion, a red small box will come on top saying 1 new notification. LOL . Wouldn't that be a really cool feature ? :D
What do you say guys ?

I agree with your idea . It's a really cool idea . I hate checking on and off who responded to me . I think many will like the idea . Hope the admin here consider this .

Maybe if you stay put for at least a week to show that you really are here and back again then admin might even realise too that you are here and consider your suggestion so that we don't lose you again

I like the idea!
At least it'll make me free to comment anywhere without worrying - about marking them so I can find those later. You know we don't get notifications for comments on comments...
Some people here say they will get annoyed by constant pop-ups. And that makes me think, what if I comment somewhere and comment in that box again.... will I get two notifications if someone comments further?? LOL

I agree. that would be a cool feature! I hate all those emails. I know I could turn them off, but then I don't check in here as much as I should, so I'd never know what my friends are up to!

well, nice discussion.i wonder if mylot have a notification too, about our respond to another discussion. you know, if we must see to e-mail, so much notification from other site. i hope admin can see this discussion and do something for mylot, and mylot seem more great.

Nope, Mylot never had a notification reminder. But if it does, It'd be super duper cool

I have wondered the same thing. However if you go to your profile or the list of discussions that you started under the synopsis it tells you how many respondents you have had and who the last one was. if the last person to comment on the discussion isn't you then you have a response. You just have to be proactive.

hi geminipunk I hate that feature in facebook I would just hate it more in mylot.why complicate things even more? facebook is so complicated its no fun to be there. I hate that.People now
days are so lazy they want everything so easy and its sort of
silly soon people will hire feeders to put food in their mouths
and wish someone could chew their food for them .I hate that
why cannot we just look there in our email for things. do things for ourselves for a change as we will not drop from exhaustion.it amazes me that young healthy sounding people are so lazy that they want to work on mylot yet cannot because it takes a little strength in your hands and mostly brain work. or is it that like Ppoh bear they are people of very little brain? he he he lol lol lol

Ahhh their Deleting discussion spree. Cant forget that from the old days . But i really hope they look into this .

this would be great option. One more thing can be added, an option in our preferences that either to select notifications by email or by notifications on-site. By this way we can stop emails. otherwise what will happen is that even though we read the response as shown in notification, still there would be an email for the same in out inbox.
Nice suggestion.
