Well, its your choice, how you handle your profile here in mylot. I have nothing to say or complain ( also have a fear to get banned lol). But i am curious and for the ultimate pressure of my curiosity, i have cited this issue here.
I want to see you. I know you are a veteran member as me and we are interacting with each other from years/months with friendly attitude. You are sure that this is "shibham" in this avatar because i claim and you should trust me as i have not lied here ever. But i also wish to see your face behind your avatar or somewhere in your profile. Really, i want to see some faces here like HWG, sister hanum, Sreekala, jaisankar, veejay, saphrina, viji, khare and ........... (all with whom i interact very often.)
Mylotters, do you wish the same as me? Is this an unnecessary desire or what?
N.B.:- i am not saying or suggesting anyone here to post his/her original photo. I know it violates guidelines and this post may got deleted. I am just sharing my feelings. No offense meant.

Hi jalucia.
You are right, its a discussion site and we can understand a person here from their writing but as i have been connected with some mylotters too deeply, thats why i wish to see them.... on the other hand this is to have fun. nothing serious. lol

I do agree with you, Jalucia, to some extent, but it is nice to actually see a real human being. We are so used to communicating with just brief words now but we never really know who we are interacting with. I'm an artist, and I like faces!

I think you should plan a world tour to meet all of the great people you mention in person rather than mere pictures as avatars.
Knowing that you are a writer, I am sure there would be many more interesting ideas that you would get if you met them in real life.
Btw, I am not on that list and no one can authenticate that it is the real me on the avatar

It happens and its normal when you get so close to people you naturally want to see them how they look like.
But to show your actual pics is always a risk as you can be identified that way easily.There are many thing i write on here which i would not like to share it with some online friends but when i upload my pics they may know it.So privacy is lost.thats the main reason i always hesitate to upload my pics anywhere on online sites.

Well it can't be helped, somehow I am not feeling safe to show my real photo or another personal information in Internet 
Especially, not only mylot members that can see it, but also every people in the world could see it
So, if I want to get know with someone here, I think I will send him/her a private message, and then talk privately

I understand and you have reasons for not uploading pic. But what are the differences between FB and mylot so that members uploaded their pic on FB but not in mylot. And a non mylotter cant see you unless he makes an account here. have a nice time.

Really? Try to log out, and check someone's profile.. I think you are still being able to see it even you aren't signing in
Anyway, I am not uploading my picture for privacy and security reason. In other words, to reduce the possibility of cyber bullying. There's a possibility that someone don't like my discussions or responses here and then misuse my own photos (like edit it via photoshop and spread it)

I know it is not right but I too sometimes feel like seeing some of the mylotters who keep replying back to my comments or discussions . But since we all keep our identity concealed here and that gives us the courage to speak and write whatever comes to our heart it is not a warrented request or demand . I just imagine the faces while reading the posts. In one way it is good whether we look beautiful/handsome or ugly it is our posts that reveal the beauty or ugliness of our hearts .I think this evaluation is more justified than judging by our physical apperance . i appreciate your perception friend. My matter is somewhere beyond mylot. I mean there are some friends created on mylot and we chat being off from mylot and dont know some of them how they look like. lol. i have not demanded and already mentioned here and you know, sometimes a user may put an another face claiming his/her own so sure better to understand them from their posts but i just shared my feelings as i am interested to see their faces but never force anyone to post. I respect each individual's choice. Nice to meet you too. thanks.

Same like you, I also wanted to see other mylotters faces.
But we cannot demand them to show their real photo, but only we can wish.
Who knows, one day, mylot will implement to have all the member's profile upload their real photo.

LOL I am a very mysterious girl. I do not post pictures of me online on any site, as I had a bad experience once which has left me timid from ever doing so again. It does not have to do with not trusting members here but have seen a few things done here to with others pictures that so reminds me of the time of my bad situation.
I feel flattered though that you would like to see mine, know that I am as beautiful as I write.

I guess there is no problem in sharing our own pics here. People thinks that it can be misuse or something else.. But I guess pic alone can't be much risky..
I am having my original pic on fb and other social networking site. I had thought about uploading my pic here many times. But don't know I back step. I guess it can appear in future days.

I think, each of us sometimes have this desire to see who we are talking with at Mylot, specially if what he/she have is just an avatar , not picture .
Specially, when i have observed that our talk is so animated, i really like to see the person behind the avatar.
Well, i think that would be impossible, because some don't really like to post their real picture. I respect that.

Yes, i do prefer that they show their real picture. However, most of them said that they would like to maintain their privacy so their pictures cannot be used for any suspicious intentions. I also realized that people who show their true picture here at mylot are only a few. 
If i maintain what i wanted, i will lose most of them in my friends' list.
Hence, i didn't pursure it. Anyway, nobody scammed me yet. If they do, i will delete them right away as my friend and maybe report them to Admin.

I strongly agree with you friend,i have uploaded my own avatar,i not afraided on any one that he or she will missuse it because i know all the member in this site are reputed and decent,
talking to some one look on his or her face is very mind full like wise see pics and responding to them is a nice feeling.

Their words must have left a deep impression that propelled you to see them and how they really look like. Nice one! I am using my real photo. I dislike using other faces photos like celebrities or unknown ones. I don't know I just feel like using my photos so that mylotters could see the real me. I am not beautiful I know but I don't care. I just want to be me.

In the course of interactions some friends come closer - they exchange emails, they make phone calls and once they are comfortable and know more about each other photographs I am sure are exchanged privately. It is at this stage that even get togethers are organised. Posting a photograph here I don't think is advisable. It is an individual's choice.
