I'm in no way connected with the site ( no links), just want to share that if you plan to sell anything, Sulit is a great site to do it(for Filipinos) I have had success and getting lots of views from promoting ptc sites, selling antiques, second hand cars, even real estate using the site. I also use ebayph but selling things like second hand stainless steel tanks and second hand gates is impossible to do there. The latest thing I sold was 2 pieces of vintage cedulas (residence certificates) dated 1928 and 1929.(attaching pictures) It is really a great site if you want to get rid of things you do not need and want to turn it to cash or if you are into some kind of hobby like shirt printing, handicraft, electronics etc...or simply want to promote your business. Do you Sulit? or have something you want to turn to cash, try the site

hi louievill. i also have a sulit account and i've successfully sold a number of items there. i usually sell audio cds and band shirts. i also have an ebay account but have since stopped using it because of the changes that they had like charging fees and not being able to leave the appropriate feedback. i was part of sulit when it started and have been gone for a long time. coming back, i see that the site has improved dramatically and that it has grown by leaps and bounds. hoping to get back to the loop in sulit and start selling online again. just curious, how'd you get hold of those vintage cedulas and how much did you sell them for? cheers!!!

I'm glad you got to sell items there too, years ago I got to sell a lot of LED bulbs long before most people have heard about it in our country and I wrote about the benefits of using it like saving power and helping the environment, I stopped when a lot of people got wind of it already and sellers increased. Yes sulit had improved a lot from the days it first started, never thought it would make it that big coming from a generation that used only buy and sell magazine. you can get hold of many things as long as people know that you buy and they trust you, you need to belong to a group or circle of people who are in a particular interest or hobby like the Philippine numismatics and antiquarian society, but be careful in verifying true ownership of items you plan to buy (might get you into trouble) and do not buy over priced otherwise you will find it impossible to resell ( this is where experience and knowledge comes in)

I'm planning to buy something at Sulit but part of me have doubts. I'm too scared that the product I purchased won't be delivered after I give advance payments. How can buyers be protected from being scammed?

*sigh* That's the problem, I live far from where the good stuffs are. It's so hard to arrange meet ups because of my location. And I think the stuff I want to buy is not available in nearby shops here.

I see... I checked ebay philippines and have read about their buyer protection. I'll give it try. And thanks by the way for giving me an idea of how really Sulit works.

Use the site for small amount purchases only and arrange for a meet up (kaliwaan)if you doubt it being sent, this is my money, give me the goods and be sure to inspecti it first, ask for a receipt when available. There is no sure guarantee that you won't be scammed online so use common sense. A safer way to do a purchase online is Ebay Philippines, and pay using Paypal, at least it has a buyer protection ....

I've heard alot of good reviews about sulit. But, I was just wondering is it just available if you live in the Philippines? I am a Filipina but I currently live in the UK, and I would really like to join and try the site out. Will I get the benefits of being a member even though I live in the UK?

hello, I think Sulit favors Filipinos more because most payments are done bank to bank(Philippine banks), Gcash, Smart money , and yes most of the time personal meet ups or "pick it up in my house". I think ebay Philippines is a better option if you live abroad because of safety features and convenience using a payment processors like paypal, although I don't think you have anything to lose if you join sulit, perhaps it just depends on what you want to do or sell.

having a business like this makes our economy grow and give Filipino a chance to have a job, have a money to feed their family. Because we know that most of Filipino lacks when it comes to education, that's why until now Philippines still belongs in the third world countries. actually we have a lot of jobs here you can have a high salary but those jobs are only for those people who has good education, a better school where she/he came from. how about those who are poor and no budget to send their children in a private school?

business and entrepreneurship for me is one of the best route we should steer our country starting today! Yes everybody should as much as possible try and get the best education but we should change our mind set from employment to owning and operating business because these will open more jobs to Filipinos so nobody would have to leave anymore if they can earn here what they earn abroad.

yes I agree what you said, "owning and operating business these will open more jobs to filipinos" it's true but for me, how will they start a business if they have no idea about it? they should have knowledge about business somehow.

hello Jaiho, yes Sulit gets a lots of views but I think it is limited more to Filipinos only. Actually I had been a collector of anything ever since I can remember, guess it started when I was 7 and my "ninong"( God father) gave me shining silver colonial coins. Well the cedulas isn't really from a family heirloom otherwise I would not have the heart to sell them, I won them from off line bidding. Anyway I am like an American picker and a pawn star combined (much lower scale), people trust me to look at their junk, appraise and give my opinion on anything and ask me if I want to buy, something I really enjoy doing (but i'm force to be a little bit more knowledgeable) at the same time make a little. Sulit is good because precious Filipiniana does not go out of the country, and I even advised the buyer how to take care of their purchase (cedulas) for the next generation, yes Jaiho, enjoy the long weekend.
