After playing for odesk, freelancer and elance for 1 day (yes 1 day) and making my gf kinda pis*ed at me due too much time in front of computer, I finally landed myself an online job! Managed to win a bid on freelancer and currently waiting for the fella to put a milestone for me. The project is a 3 days project and it will cost about USD 30 or more. Good start and I just hoping I don't get con-ed lol!

THanks! The only problem is that chap has yet to provide a Milestone Payment for me. So I will only start when the payment is in I guess. Also, since you been there before, how would I know the topic I should be doing? The project guy will / and suppose to send me a message or some sort on the things I have to do right? He stated some stuffs on the bidding site but, seems like his english is a little...odd.

If there is a real client they should contact you to give you the specifications they want.

That's good for u. CHerish the chance well and work hard. IF your employer is impressed by your work and efficency, he will give u a good rating and from then, employers would be searching for u to do their jobs, instead of the other way round. Keep it up and u shall have a good future in writing. KEep bidding and may the best projects come to u.

Wow, congrats on your first job. Try to concentrate on building a good profile and feedback initially and don't look at the payment. Once you work on 2-3 projects, you would get regular assignments and after some time you can demand a higher price. You can work for 2-3 hours a day and still earn a decent income. One tip from my side. As the client checks your work history, you need to check the history of the client. Check how much he pays per article and what is the feedback he gives. Feedback on our earlier works affects your payments and new assignments in a great way. Do not accept work from clients with a bad history.

Congratulations since you already got a job. I am actually looking for a job also and I hope I will find one. I hope you will work hard on your job since it is very difficult to find one.

Basically you didn't get a job, you got hired as freelancer, but when you get a online job you would get particularly accepted to be salary and do continuous job .

yay congrats! what's the job for? I hope it all goes well and you continue to get jobs. I haven't really spent much time on those websites so I'm not familiar with it, do you mean it costs you $30 to to the website and the rest goes to you? I've joined websites like that before, where they take in a percent of the money that you make.

congratulations!! Finding a job after hunting for the longest time is like winning in a lottery. I have experienced that too. Well, you have found a free lancer, then it will still require you to put much time in front of computer Haha,, I hope your gf will not get mad at you for that job.

Hi nicregi, I hope you succeed on this online job. It is difficult to find a site that really pays as there are so many scams around. I hope you get a good client. Keep it up. Goodluck!
