Dear Friends Dipression is picking up like a epedemic across the world......even when I think about it I feel dipression is the disease that dictate us limitations of our mind and ask us to take care of ourselves first ......... So here are some tips from my side to all those who are fighting hard to tame this ghost of dipression .......... 0 Pray To GOD I dont know which religion you belong to but we must pray to the supreme soul GOD everyday since I believe that our all belongings are temporary and GOD is our real owner so we must pray to GOD using all cells that constitute our heart . 1 My research says dipression comes into picture when we are hurt badly from inside by people specially those who are near and dear to us ,and this makes us feel that staying alone is the best choice and here dipression instead of dicreasing increases. SO according to my view even if you are badly hurt by some people avoid those few people and not all and I am sure you will find yourself better and better soon............. 2 Mind your diet........being in dipression makes us sluggish and we prefer fast food/junk food REMEMBER WHY NOT THIS WORLD BECOMES VERY FAST THE ONLY WAY TO SUCCESS IS SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE DONT GIVE UP and applies to diet as well dont eat junk food yes once in a while will do 3 Excercise Excercise Excercise yes what we do generally when it comes to excercise we avoid it saying to ourselves we are tired but that is not true even when we are tired we can do light excercise like walk and nothing is more lighter than walk so go on walk so go on walk everyday atleast 15-30 minutes if not more and you will find your dipression is leaving you............... 4 HELP The Needy That make us to serve purpose of our life.....help anyone you like to without any selfish motive 5 Try To Wake Up Early In The MOrning Avoid Late Sleep see if we wake up early in the morning nothing more good than this to our health yes waking up early in morning helps in curing dipression specially when you go to walk early morning . SO REMEMBER EARLY TO BED EARLY TO RISE 6 Spend Few Hours in a day to give it to your favourite timepass/hobby may it be movie ,football, cricket, stamp collection, hanging with friends and dont tell to anyone who stops you doing that ...............yes 7 Once In a year or 6 months visit your favourite place in your country and spend atleast a day to 5 and it will boost your moral.........seems simple but has tremendous effect on your health but it must be your favourite place in your country 8 RUN away From ANGER SITE location anger is another hidden enemy to us so if anger comes inside you immediately leave that location or gathering or friends or relatives since in my view thats best way to deal with anger ............. 9 Find some little kids to play with and remember GOD and say to yourself this is how GOD did create us its our orignal form and you will find KIDS dont resist much and you will be thrilled in a while but remember must not irritate a kid because it will have negative impact ............. 10 Music Listen To your favourite music its self explanatory 11 MEDITATE meditation is an effective and robust way to cure dipression do meditate and you will see change in yourself .................. SO these are the tips from myside based on my knowledge and experience ,especially for those who are in dipression . I m not a doctor so I may be wrong in some information ,you may correct me or except my apology on this , ..........I hope it will help you in curing your dipression .............. Live A Healthy Life ................... Take Care ............. Hare Krishna Ganesh

Depression is definitely much more commonly diagnosed today than it was in years past and there are far too many people that are on medications for depression. With that said, I am a person that does suffer from depression, but I refuse to be a person that is medicated because I'm depressed. Instead, I choose to exercise and do mental activities that keep my mind off of the fact that I'm depressed. When I compare myself to other members of my family that suffer from depression, I feel like I'm better adjusted than they are.

something else to think on is the poor me attitude we get with any thing like depression or even diabetes so look around and notice a man in a while chair with a large smile .a lady limping around as she waits on customers also with a smile. how come they are not poor meing? because they grasped their difficulty accepted it and are working around it.. they are not depressed as they are happy because they accept their problems and work around them. I also try this and it wo rks as I cannot be depressed when I am content, and happiness comes from being contented[.

This all very good advice. I had panic disorder and for months I was struggling and having to take medication. I changed my diet and stopped eating and drinking foods that have caffeine in them. I also started working out every day and now I am much better. I also learned breathing exercises and relaxation exercises that helped me deal with the stress. I also make sure to get plenty of sleep. Now I weigh a lot less, and I am in good shape and I no longer have the anxiety.

there is no cure for depression. it's a condition that stays with you for life. but it can be managed, and a lot of the things you suggested are ways that do help people manage the condition. not all of them help all people, but things like diet and exercise are particularly good ways to manage depression, as they help to rebalance the brain chemicals, which cause the condition. people with no religion, or a religion that doesn't use prayer in the conventional sense probably won't find prayer helpful. I'm not one for praying to my Gods, but I do know that my spirituality helps me. it lets me see that in the big scheme of things, this is a very small thing, and the world keeps turning. meditation helps a lot. WHEN I can do it. if my depression is bad, it affects my attention span and makes meditation difficult and frustrating. being around children wouldn't help me at all. I find them quite stressful. it's important to remember that while the part of your brain that works wrong will probably always be like that, there are many ways we can help ourselves. particularly a healthier diet and some exercise. for some people, managing that condition will require medication to manage it. for some people the small steps can keep it under control. for me, it helps to remind myself that even though I feel sad, I am not sad. it's just my brain mis-firing and causing artificial feelings of sadness in my body.

I must appreciate your response that appear to me as very natural.....:...... Ohhhk let me come on this see first of all you should admit that dipression can be cured and yes I agree advance stage of dipression takes years to come back to normal..........but mild to mid staged dipression can be fully ccured as per my knowledge with right diet, life style, meditation including most I specified above............ yes you may find some ways I specified that you find applicable to you but beleive me all works in different porportion depending upon nature of person....... Ok you may not like to play with kids but if I take 100 cute kids to you I m sure 10 will be those you fall in love with I agree remaining 90 may not impress you and these 10 will add more happiness and life to your life ..........this is what my experience says.........and I m sure next time you find a cute kid around you will recall my discussion......... GOD is a complex subject I wont say much than prayers does work for me may be you know it by term sprituality when your dipression is lesser than only meditate not while you are fully exhausted.......... Be positive try ways that works for you but keep this thought away from your mind that dipression can not be cured why not very intelligent doctor of yours says so........ I hope and wish you come out of this situation soon ....... Hare Krishna Ganesh

Yes depression often comes from people who hurts us deeply thus we feel so alone and no one care us at all. I suffer from depression 10 years ago. Due to mixing with my old friends again, and told them how they hurted me, I got partly well now. The rest I have to eat medicines to go through the day. I hope people who are depressed open their heart to those who care about them and move forward instead of stuck in a place they never will get out from it. Good Luck!

Very well said. Do you think it is possible to maintain discipline in this busy scheduled life? Instead all all this small steps like meditation for five minutes, taking sufficient rest is somewhat helpful, if it is not possible to follow all the steps what you have said.Another thing is if you enjoy your work, your depression gets reduced.Any way what all you have said is totally worthwhile.

hi all your suggestions are great but for us diabetics I found from our diabetes nurse educator one more big suggestion. first realize that depressions can pop up all over but we do not have to let it bother us. now picture you are inside a large magic bubble tough as can be and it protects you from all those disturbing things that before had you in knots. Now with your stress proof bubble nobody knows about but you, you go happily about your day having locked stress out where it belongs. I practice this a lot as for a diabetic we get high blood sugar just by letting ourselves be stressed out. I keep much calmer more like I was as a nurse's aide. In that profession you cannot let yourself be stressed or show it either.the three C 's for medical people are always calm, cook and collected. we cannot work otherwise as we would be no good to a very ill patient at all. and I use classical music myself too as it really works. I am listening to some right now as I type this.

thanks for appreciation....... yes I agree with you classical music is really awesome to cure or prevent dipression ...... Diabetese yes access sugar produced in body cant be converted to glycogen due to lack of insulin and sugar level in blood increases causing situation called diabetese ........in my knowledge we must avoid high sugar food to cure it ...... Yes nurse aide tough job since we must not show to the patient that we are stressed and that makes us more stressed since we are not supposed to show our stress to others ....I can realize how tough is hiding stress ......... But yes with some changes in lifestyle and the tips listed above we can wash out much of the stress from our brain making it calmer........ Wish and hope u succeed against diabetese and dipression soon Hare Krishna Ganesh

For me, exercise is the key to put the brain chemicals back in order. Depression is a brain disorder that occurs through an imbalance of norepinephrine and serotonin. Walking each day helps me... I can tell the difference when I go a few days without walking... I get very depressed and I feel totally well when I get enough exercise.
