August is almost over now. And mind you, we are almost on the 9th month of 2011... Have you remembered what you have promised to the at the beginning of the year? Aside from losing those extra pounds you gained over the 2010 holidays? In my case, well, I did promise to be facebookless but I ended up reviving my secret account (which technically is not facebookless). So what's your story?

Well, I really never made any promises for myself at the start of 2011. However, I laid in some of my goals that I will try to achieve during the course of the year. So far so good. My financial and career goals are already met and as of the August target date. I hope I can continue to keep those goals up until the end of the year. But still, 2011 is still far for my other goals to be assessed. So I am sticking to evaluate my goals' progress at the end of the year and not yet now. Some can still get going or just start today and be accomplished until the year end.

I envy you. I really wanted to achieve my financial goal this year, it's just that a lot of family stuff come along the way, and I guess, I have to just set aside such goal.

There were millions of promises that I had made at the beginning of 2011, none of them, or maybe only a few of them I did achieve my promises at some point. Maybe I am a forgetful person, and not making my life to the full at all. Thanks for remind me of all these, I should do my work, and make my promise too.

Haha! I guess, it's just one way of checking if where we are now to what we have planned early this year.

Well, I haven't kept even one of my New Year's resolutions just yet, but, hey! It's only August! I still have time! So thanks for reminding me--I better get going!

I think I have already accomplished working on my promises for this year. The only thing left is how I'm going to deal with every difficulties to make my promises stick. I knows its going to be a task of a lifetime, but as long as I live to see a tomorrow, then I have to stay with it till the time they learn to support themselves.

I think so far my year is going good. I also just celebrated my birthday so Ive been looking back on the year and am very happy with it. I have done many things this past year that I would never have done. I took more risks and am proud of those risks i took. I tried new foods and new activities like I promised myself I would. Hope I can keep it going.

That's great to hear. I need to be a risk-taker - and I guess the adventures you have is what I am envious of.

I made few new year resolutions but sadly I can say that I did not complete even one task from the long list. I did not quit smoking, still have stressful life time and I work even longer hours than before. Well soon we all will do next new year resolution and maybe next year will be better.

Hey, it is not yet too late. They said for one to create a new habit - they have to do it for 21 continuous days without missing a thing. So, I guess, we still have 4 sets of 21 days before 2012.

I have not kept any of my resolutions. I am hoping to have the inside of the house painted by the end of the year, but right now I do not see that happening. This coming weekend I will have the kitchen and dining room painted, then the guest bathroom and then the computer room. I have no idea what colors to paint the master bedroom, the living room and the cats room. I had also hoped to make more money online and that has not happened yet. Now with my husband possibly losing his job (right now it is up in the air) we may end up having to move. It has been a bad year for us.

oh dear, i'm not sure what the answer to that is. there are a few things i promised to do in 2011 that i am on target for, a few that i am behind target on, but progressing with, others that got completely forgotten, and a few things that i have done that i never imagined myself doing at the beginning of the year, that i am quite pleased i have done. so all in all its not too bad. i might take a look at the things i have not done well on this year, and see what which ones i should still do, and which ones have now became obsolete, in the light of new developments. but thank you for the reminder!
