Just the other day, while I was enjoying my meal, I bit my lip. Not only once but twice...ouch! Today, it turned into a mouth sore and it hurts more, I can't eat properly! There is a saying here in our country that if you bit your tongue or lip, someone or a group of people is talking about you. Well I guess, they talked about me, a lot....hmmmm, I'm wondering who can they be???? I think they're angry with me 'coz it really hurts, arrrgh! Do you believe in this saying? or you're laughing right now?...it's okey, I understand

Not really.. I am not really a superstitious person..maybe you were just eating too fast which is why you bit your lip. You should buy medicine for your mouth sore so it would be healed quickly, it's really hard to eat with that.

Yeah, most mouth sores will take a week to completely heal. You can also try gurgling with water and a little salt in it,I think it also helps.

Hi stanley, It's okey, I do believe too that people have different beliefs and maybe you're right about me eating too fast that's why I bit my lip because I'm really hungry that time Oh well, some appetite....now I can't eat properly. I only use mouthwash from time to time to numb the pain. It will take a week or so to heal I'm sure.

Hi Whengcat I'm sorry about. In my country, there is this believe that some people are backbiting you if may be you hurt your toe as you are walking or get burnt when cooking just to mention a few.I am also into this belief because if anything happens to me,I go for this somebody somewhere is talking about me.

Hello there waflay, Thanks for sharing some your beliefs, there's nothing wrong believing in those because tradition brought them to us....Now, I think I have some clue of who are these people talking about me, I hope I can keep in touch with them and explain myself so they won't get angry too much

@Gavrilovich, Hello there, it's okey, I understand your point as we are entitled to our own beliefs

That happen to me sometimes and it is so annoying. I have done it twice within a couple of minutes. It makes you feel such and idiot. However I don't believe in such silly nonsense such as someone is talking about you.

Hi maidangela, I did too, I also bit mine twice that's why it really hurts up to now....it's okey not to believe, I understand. I think it's just the way how our culture brought us up so we are entitled whether we believe or not

Ouch, I know that really hurts, I am sorry that happened to you. I thought the saying was if your ears were itching then people were talking about you. When your nose is itching that means money is coming your way. Now that one I really wish was true. Again I am very sorry about your lip, I hate it when I do that or bit the inside of my cheek, yikes!

Sometimes those old sayings or beliefs are so funny...and sometimes weird Nice that we have similar beliefs about the money thing, here in our country, when your palm itched or a lizard inside your house ticks or a brown butterfly pass your way or goes inside your house, money is coming your way....well enough of those beliefs, my lip is now slowly healing. The pain is lesser now but I make it a point to eat slow because I might bite on it again

awwww..I feel bad for you. I hope you recover with those sores very quick. Sometimes, I get such sores and i know it hurts a lot. And yes, you got me somewhat laughing when you mentioned the saying in your country. I don't know if that is really true but sometimes such sayings turn out to be miraculously right. But i really hope its not true because next time a group talks about you, you'll get those sore again.

Hi Whengcat! I have not heard that one before, interesting. In my culture they say that if your ear is ringing than someone is saying something about you. Mostly not good things. We are supposed to out loud say the person's name of which we think maybe talking bad about us and it is suppose to stop. Not sure if this in fact true but it gets my ear to stop ringing. lol

Hello there HWG It's funny that sometimes our culture have this kind of beliefs Well, if your ear stops ringing or never ring at all then it only proves that you are a nice person because no one is saying bad against you
