I am enjoying my Nook. I have always enjoyed reading, but now with arthritis in my hands and wrists, it is sometimes painful to hold a hardback book and even a paperback. Add to that the collection of books piling up in my back room. I bought the cheaper, black and white version partly because of the price, but the specs said it was easier on the eyes. And I thought who needs color when you are just reading a book? Well I've discovered I miss seeing the cover art of a book in color. A small thing, but something I've noticed. When this one wears out I may have to buy the color version. I've also found a feature I'd like them to add. I'd like it to have a backlight so I could read it after I go to bed for a few minutes and not bother hubby while he's sleeping. And I've found a drawback. It's addictive! I've been browsing the Nook books in Barnes and Nobles and add $2.99 here and $2.99 there and $.99 there and oops...hubby notices all of these little charges adding up in the bank account statement. Well, I HAVE been buying the cheaper ones! LOL I've bought more books in the last 2 weeks than I have in years. This is too easy. I'll have to be careful.

My husband got me one of the new 7" HD nooks as an early Christmas present this year. I love it, and yes it is addictive, VERY, lol! It is color, plus the HD screen and also is lit and very good for reading at night without a light or bothering anyone. I do like to read paper books, but we live in the country and it is 30 miles to the nearest book store, plus our local library is very small with a limited selection. Add that to the fact that my husband has our only vehicle most days for work, and this was the perfect solution. Now I have access to new books when I want them. Plus it is basically a tablet running android as well with web, email, video, games, and many aps....quite handy.
