What do you do when you feel frustrated and sad?

It is common to feel sad and frustrated when everything seems to go wrong. What do you do? I usually spend the day at home, usually on the computer. Such a day is a very boring one usually but i just cannot get myself to go out.

Call me conservative or something, but usually, when I am feeling sad and frustrated, I would just pray to God. Telling all the story -even He already know it all!, ask for His Help, and sometimes crying before Him When I am feeling sad, I don't want to run away, I want to solve the problem! It just I can't stand by myself, so I need God's help. Cheers

hello grkelly...i do hope now you are not sad or frustrated...Okay... i think you can use your mylot for changing your sad become a good mood you can get many great friends here who want to help you... we are here as your best friend.. why i suggest like that?? because i had ever feel...when iam sad or unhappy, one of my effort is go to my netbook and connect..my favourite site is mylot and shvoong...it can make me not sad anymore

Sometimes I feel the same. When it started to cloud my day, I started to sing. Especially worship songs. It always work for me. My favorite, God will make a way. It goes like this, God will make a way, when there's seems to be no way...etc. and presto, I'm feeling better. It's good to sing despite boredom and sadness. It will help the day get brighter.

Very intresting discussion, Its very hard to cope up with life when you are depressed and sad, our mind goes numb and we are not in a state to enjoy, No matter how much good things are around us, coping with depression and sad fellings is very challenging one to one's life. Well whenever iam depressed i play my favourite song on my guitar, or just read some self help books. This techique has worked best for me. I have read this book called how to increase your self esteem, through this book i have learned to smile even in my bad times, iam sure you will to feel the same, reading is a acticity where no matter what happens your full concnetrations is snatced in the book and you mind is forced to concentrate on that, so i suggest yourself to read some book imagine the positive aspects of your life and then just see the amazing results. Hi Princelierocks, I just saw that you posted on this discussion after I replied to your post on my discussion. I agree with your comment here due to both of us knowing about how sad and depressed breakups cause you to become. I like the fact that you spoke about self esteem. This is what I am trying to work on more than anything right now at this moment. Due to the bad relationship I was in I let him destroy my self confidence and I felt worthless. I advise anyone who begins to feel like this to get out of whatever situation you are in and work on yourself. I had never loathed myself more than when I was with my ex. It is a long process but I am trying to find myself again. I had individuals walk up to me on a daily basis and tell me how beautiful I was and deep inside myself I would not believe them. Then one day a friend of mine told me I was "The Whole Package" and I thought about this over and over until I decided to make a change in my life. I listen to a lot of self help books also, or read many and try to really focus on what they are saying to see if I can make it pertain to me. Once you do this you will see the difference it makes in your life and be a life long self help listener or reader. I wish everyone the best with their journey wish sadness or depression, it is one of the hardest things I have ever had to endure. Happiness and love to all.

I eat. Lol! No really, whenever I feel down in the dumps and feels frustrated, I eat sweets. This calms me down and makes me feel cheerful. I don't know why but eating have this effect on my mood :P

After I registered with mylot I really don't feel sad or frustrated . If ever I am sad or depressed , that's what I am facing today , I log in here and all my worries , anxieties and discomfort vanish . OMG the community is so vibrant and always ready to help . I can't think of unhappiness when I am interacting in mylot

I read a book or watch TV. I cannot let everything fall out of place. I try to do something productive. I also get on line and eat.

I always staying at home and don't feel like going out.I need someone to talk to me and comfort me,when we do something that could change my mind,i may become better.It's really sad that sometimes i feel sad and couldn't explain why this happens.So,that's why we need friends.Be happy and enjoy great life,if we had enough money,going out for travel is also a great way to relieve.

I admit that I'm feeling the same way as you. I do the same but the fact of the matter is, that getting out and getting to the gym is the best thing to do to atleast get those endorphins running and keeping yourself positive. Sitting and moping at the computer will just make you feel worse!

if i feel sad and frustrated....almost cried over nigth huhuhuhu...i cry and pray at the same time...and when i feel tired....fall a sleep...and when wake up..i get calm itself...clear my mind...and try to solve it...but if it to hard...i looking for my friend..i need talk...just to sharing...or have someone beside me...so im not feel lonely..:)

I feel very frustrated and sad for many months now but especially for close on 2 months. I had a relocation failure and my son and I ended up having to return to the apartment we left and we had to sign another 1 years lease. I just about can't stand the small city we moved to about 10 months ago. My son is very unhappy also. My housing assistance caseworker was not available when I needed her. She claims it was a mess up with their email system. I just feel so stuck and so disappointed. I don't want to go out much anymore because when I do go out I look around and the same old same old just makes me sick. The stupid little one lane downtown has become a real drag. I know I need to count my blessings but right now it's just hard to. I know allot of people are better off them me and believe me I think about all the poor souls who are much worse off then me. That gives me little, or no, comfort. Sometimes I feel as though I'm going to go crazy; you know insane. It's like it takes all my strength just to keep my mind ok. I guess the thing that really makes me mad is there are so many people have great lives out there and living in great places. And then there's me realizing my life could be so much better then it is. But how do I start?

I understand as I am the same way. I find it very difficult to see other people when I am very sad. I am not the type to vent to others as this is the opposite for me, where it actually makes me feel worse. So I prefer to stay home on days like this as time is the only thing that allows for me to feel better.

If I feel frustrated and sad I usually think of something that can make me really busy. Or if it really that serious I just spend the day in my room or call my friends over to have someone to talk. I also watch cartoons when I'm sad.

I also spend most of my time at home in front of the computer whenever I am in a bad mood,and I usually don't post on Mylot or do anything actively online,I just watch something relaxing and funny and try to get the sadness and frustration out of my mind.I also don't like to get out in such moments,it doesn't help me,staying inside is the best solution for me.

If I'm not on my vacation house, I stay in bed and watch TV for the whole day. Most of the times, I eat some junk food too. If I'm on vacation, I go to the beach and do a long walk.

When I get sad I usually sit in my room lonely and think about the matter or activity that makes me sad. I even throw my mobile or whatever the thing that get in my hand. When I threw it gives me relieve but I want to control my emotion and call my friends and plan to go for a matinee movie and comes home at night.
