I could not be mudik. Because, I have to downsize. In addition, my husband had just recovered from illness. I'm actually very sad, can not meet with parents, and my family. I can only gathering by telephone. But, I quite enjoy, along with my husband's family.

I'm mudik to my husband's grandmother's house. I do not need to buy a ticket, because I do not use public transport. I'm going home, using a motorcycle, I only need 2 hours drive.

This year I'm not going home. Now, I stay away from the family. I live, different island with my family. For homecoming, requires a lot of cost. Anyway, I have 3 months, moved to where I am now.

homecoming or mudik is a culture that we have done since coming Lebaran, I feeling sick with my experience because I sit in my car 2 days last year. homecoming we can do with long distance without having to meet in person, because we do not always buy new clothes when Eid arrives.

well, for me it holds no special meaning since I was born on Jakarta and lived until today at Jakarta too :D but, in my opinion, mudik DOES hold special meanings for people who mudik every year, since they are visiting family and relatives there and do a big-time gathering it's not everyday they could gather as one right?
