Can This Week Be Over Yet?

I think overall this is the most trying week I have ever had to endure yet. I have turned in the Doctors notes and such for FMLA to my boss and waiting to see what he says from here. This is stating I must have the time off requested from Doctors to take care of my Leg, and time to take care of my Diabetes as I am prone to go Low and prone to infections. Let's see if he tries to fight this one. I also have the job interview tomorrow for the Receptionist job where my husband works, and everyone there is really hoping that I get the job. Even the HR person is trying to do everything in her power to get my hired on there. This is a feeling of gladness on both our parts and really hoping this comes true. But right now the uncertainty of everything is really making my Blood pressure probably be a little raised and I have a touch of a headache, and my stomach right now is in knots. Personally I know God is in control and everything is going to be OK but right now I just wish it was over. I know also everyone is Praying, and I appreciate that as well. So have you ever faced situations simular to this, and any advice that you can give? ~~TINA~~

I hope that everything will go well with you over the weekend. Especially your job interview, I hope that you will nail it. It is not easy to get a job around right now, and I hope that you can prepare well for the interview. One more thing, it is Labor Day weekend, and enjoy it with your husband.

Well, I did not get this job I was interviewing for, and even had one or two more interviews somewhere else since. I guess God is just trying to tell me to stick this out until at least my leg is completely healed and then he will open the door for something else. It has been stressful, and things are better but not as Great as they could be. But in the end I think I have learned a lot from all this for sure.

Well my friend I am always Praying and wishing the Best for you, but as you now know I am sure, I am still at the Dispatching job, and still having minor issues, but nothing like they were. It would be so nice to get things going with a New job and things but still waiting for my leg to completely heal so that I know it is safe to move on as well.

no and glad I haven't been in that position....I did interview a few years ago for a different job and was so nervous I couldn't even type! They did let me do it over though as my hands were shaking so bad ...I have been at the same job for 26 years so it was way out of my box to go apply for something else. Good luck though tomorrow!

Well my friend as you know I have stated that I am still at the Dispatch job, and things are going better than what they were. I still have the claim with the EEOC and getting ready to turn that paperwork back in, and have also let them know about not getting my raise as well. It could be retaliation for turning in the other stuff and having them get notice of it, but who knows. In the end I hope I get the $12 an hr. I should be getting til my leg heals enough that I can then move on to something else. But I know and still believe God is in control.

hi Tina I am still praying that you win in this and that also you get the receptionist job too. my friend Nelda went through this too as she was fired for falling asleep at her desk when she was just having a low. she won her case and was paid for all the months she had missed and offered to be returned there but she had found a better job with people who knew about diabetes, I do hope it all works out for you too as I will be praying for you too.

Well things have been better with my job since filing all the complaints and having them aware of I was not going to play with them any longer and meant Business. I am still dealing with the Chronic wound being not completely healed yet, so actually it is Good I have not got another job yet. Still praying and believing for something Great to come from this, but know God is in control.

Yes many times, the only answer is to do your best and then turn it over to your higher power, in your case God. Let go, it will happen as it is meant to happen. Blessings

So True. So True. And even though things do not always happen in the way that I would like to see them happen, good things are happening, and it is up to me to be able to move forward from here.

I hope your leg is better. As I'm diabetic myself since 22 years I often think about how you cope with your illness and all in life. I hope you will get a job and relax somewhat and give your leg a little bit rest. I wish you all the best

Well, I have a sit down job at the Taxi job. The main issue though is the place being so FILTHY and having people that are very misunderstanding and so judgemental. I have tried finding jobs other places, and had some interviews but feel due to my leg not being Healed yet, God is in control and leaving me where I am at for now. Wish it did not have to be the way it is to where I have had to make the complaints etc. but if it woke them up to realize Health problems happen, and save someone else from going thru the same hassles then it was worth it, and one day this will all be over and something better will have come along.

I think it is great that you got all that done. I really look forward to seeing the discussion saying that you got that other job because you really deserve better than what you have right now. Have a great week!!!

Well, you do have alot going on. I hope that the company you are applying with doesn't have a rules against people who are married or other wise related working at the same place. I would hope not. Sounds as though things are going better and you have options so that is good.

Hopefully, you will get the receptionist position. Remaining at your current workplace really is not possible. No, I've never really been in a similar situation. The only advice that I can give is to do what you need to do to protect both your physical and mental health. Getting out of your current workplace is the best way to achieve that.

Hi Tina! Oh gosh yes the anticipation is very nerve wrecking. You have already been through a great deal, so I would suggestion to hang on for a little bit more. Yes prayers my dear is the only answer and all we can do is continue on praying for you and hopefully one day soon you will come back and tell us all of the wonderful news up and coming.

Sending prayers your way that all goes well and you get the job if its to make you happy. I was a mess when mom had an aneurysm. She had never been sick in her life and on New Years evening, she lost consciousness, was taken to hospital and we had to wait until morning to find out what was wrong. Then the long hours while she was in the operating room......the even more long hours waiting to see if she was alright, if she'd wake up. I think I aged 10 yrs in that time. Try not to worry, I know we pray and put everything in God's hands but we're only human and we cant help worrying. Let us know how it goes!

The last time i had that feeling was when i was in Law School! My professor in Obligations and Contracts was really a very strict one and in his class only 10% would pass the subject. The time the grades were rumored to be released, I was having an anxiety attack! For a week I had stomach upset and no medicine could ever cure it. So i asked my sister who is a doctor and she told me, no medicine would take effect since i'm having an emotional turmoil and that's causing my illness. It only stopped when I got my grades and got a good one. So i really don't know how to feel calm, even though i prayed hard, i couldn't help but worry. I guess i didn't have much faith in God then! I'm happy to hear this one from you and hope for the best!
