do you believe that religion can save you?

Welcome to mylot, in indaia, so many corrupted politicians do politics under the shadow of religion, they play with the emotion of simple men and women.. I am hindu by religion, what is yours? I don't think we should take shelter of religion.... Thanks for sharing Have a nice day ahead.

dear friends, I belong to Hindu religion. and i Think god is one. all the religions are the different ways to god.god is invisible power and i feel it many times. so i said to you that god is help everyone and not any religions save anybody.

No. My religion cannot save me. But the God I worship can save me.

I believe people's good work and honesty give good result in life rather than which religion s/he belong too. When a child birth, they automatacally follow their parents, family or surrounding culture as well as religion. So, the religion s/he is in is default for them regardless their judgement and unawareness. When a person give knowledge about a particular religion, oviously it become superior than other religion to him or her. So, religion is not the thing that save us but our good deeds will save us :-) Being a good, respectful, kind, ture and helpful fellow in this world is the key to save us !

Religion is suppose to show the way to be saved. No one knows if it will or not but I do know many have found great comfort and benefit from their religion. I think we will get out of it as much as we put into it.

I totally disagree with this belief by some who believes that when they pass away, they have to worry about because of what their religion says. I know one religion that actually believes such inane intuition but for my safety I am not gonna say it here for it might cause any untoward concerns later on. I have a considerable respect for them, for their perceptions and beliefs, one can't really blame them for being so.

I am a Roman Catholic yet I don't believe that my religion can save me. I guess my relationship with God matters most. What is religion if you don't even pray? Yet even you pray a lot but your attitude towards other people is harsh and bad, you will not be save also. For me, my belief in God helps me to have a constant communication with Him. And in doing so, I am guided to do good towards others. I am not perfect though, I don't even know if I will be save. It's God who will judge our doings here on earth.

Religion is a tool towards a God-centered life. When you belong to a religious sector or denomination you are taught how to have Faith, Trust and Love in God for religion can't save you only God can. The person you debated with is a fanatic, he is brainwashed by their teaching for no religion is superior or inferior to the rest. Love one another as God loves you is the primary teaching of any religion; there are variations on teaching how to be Christlike in thought and action but the teaching is the same. I am a Catholic and all Christians are my brothers and sisters in Faith.
